What to wear in family pics?

We are taking Nicholas to get pics taken at Target tomorrow and since our families have been bugging us for a family photo, DH and I are going to jump into a few shots. Nicholas will be wearing a red polo with thin, white wide-spaced stripes and DH has a similar one in navy w/white stripes. Would I look out of place in a bright green cotton V-neck tee? I don't really like polos, so I don't own any and I just bought new tees, so it would be a nice fresh one. (unlike those that some of you see me wearing to every playdate Stick out tongue)  It's just a cheap photo shoot, we rarely spend more than $35 (go coupons!) but I still want to look decent.

Thoughts?

Thanks :)

  • Green could work. Do you happen to have just a white one? A plain white v-neck with khakis might look fresh with the red and blue. Or a dark wash jean to contrast your white.

I suck at coordinating outfits though so you can take my recommendation with a grain of salt. I can't even seem to coordinate the girls for Ana's 18mo pics.

  • I like navy and green together, but the red green combo might come off sort of Christmas like. Do you have a brighter blue? Or can you put H in an all white shirt? I'm not a fan of polos either. If you put DS in a blue instead of red, you can wear your been and H can be in white or yellow. If you can't do that then you wear yellow. All the bright colors will look nice and summer like. I hope this makes sense I'm on my phone lol !

I was more concerned with a tee being with two polos rather than the colors, and since you both responded with color advice, I'll take that to mean that the two styles should be fine together.

Those are actually the only combos of colors we own that would look good together. I think the green will be ok against the red. I think I'm obsessing about it too much. I'm not worrying about pants, the guys both have cargo shorts and I'll just wear capris. I don't plan on allowing much of my body to appear in the photos ;)

Coincidentally, tomorrow is DH's birthday, so I threatened to have his picture taken with the 3 & the 7. I will probably follow through on this one.  Party!!!

  • FUNNY!

In that case, I don't see an issue w/ two polos and a regular shirt, to me, polos are more a man's style, so it works. The cargo pants shouldn't be an issue, as long as the color of capris you wear cordinate you'll be just fine! :)

I ended up changing to the brighter blue, per your recommendation. I didn't think I liked the cut of my blue shirt (too short), but when I held it up to the green it was almost identical, so I wore it instead. So glad I did, the colors looked nice together. :)

There's a link on my facebook if anyone cares to peek.
