update: my initial results updated with a surprise
I got the call from them early!!!!! The initial FISH test was negative for trisomy 13,18, and 21! It's 99.6% conclusive for those conditions. I cried my eyes out with joy. There's still a small chance for a rarer disorder and we won't get the full results for 7-10 days, but I have so much more hope now. Of course I was so stressed and freaked out that I forgot to ask about the sex so I left a message for them to call me back. Hopefully, I'll have that confirmed tomorrow. Thank you all so much for your T&Ps and your messages on fb. I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been through this very trying time. Now I'm just crossing my fingers and praying that the final results come back normal too!
AND I found out we're having a BOY lol... the ultrasound tech was wrong! Joshua Evan:)
