you know how sometimes your spouse does something little...sometimes totally silly and unimportant...and it just makes your heart all gushy because it's a sign of just how compatible you are?
I just had one of those moments...
We were talking about possible meals for a trip we're taking next weekend with friends and he emailed me a link to Pioneer Woman's Mac n' Cheese from back in 2009 when I still loved her. I've had that recipe bookmarked for years and just haven't gotten around to trying it.
He's clearly perfect for me.
You may all laugh at me now. ;-)
But also...anybody else have similar moments? I can't be the only one!
Re: I love my husband (random)
Yes, sort of. I was meeting SFIL for the first time and he was telling me this story , which goes something like this.Keep in mind SFIL is a contractor.
"So DH and I are remodeling this bathroom and I told the guy that they can use the toilet, but don't flush, 'cause my kid is down there. Apparently the husband didn't tell the wife. Dh hears the toilet flush and barely missed getting an eyeful."
To that I said " DH should have gotten hazard pay."
SFIL says, "You know that is the same thing that DH said after it happened."
Sorry if anyone was eating lunch...
Ha I know what you mean!
Last week DH replaced the battery in my running watch. Sure this was self-serving bc I had been using his, but he didn't tell me or anything, he just took it and then was like "oh I got your watch fixed." I love my simple little running watch so I was so happy and I thought "oh I do love him." lol
So nice to here a rave and not just vents.
I had one of those moments when my H surprised me in the parking lot of my doctors right as i was going into an apointment that I was dreading ( I had found a lump two days before). He skipped out of work a wee bit early just to be there for me and I hadnt asked at all. Since he came straight from work he was still in his police uniform. H hates doc apt by the way, which made his coming even more special. We played games on his phone to keep me occupied and even went back with me to hold my hand.
I almost cried at that. Huge releave just having him there.
FYI It was not cancerus after all those test.
I recently found a family heirloom being sold on CL. LONNNNG story, that I will save the details of for after everything is safe and sound. It means a lot to me to get it back, and H didn't even hesitate to say just buy it. Which means a lot since it's kind of $$$ and I don't exactly have any income at the moment. It's a huge deal to get this back. It should be arriving in the next few days and I cannot wait!!!

He left work early last week to take my best friend to the airport. I had a meeting at work and couldn't get out early and he didn't hesitate in saying he'd do it.
Plus, he's been absolutely amazing during this whole house-buying process with all of the little things (researching mortgage terms, checking out appliances, packing, etc.).
Is it the PW southwestern mac and cheese? If so, his actions may have been entirely selfish as that is my husband's #1 favorite mac and cheese recipe that I make. I think it's the jalapenos that do the trick!
My DH got up at the ass crack of dawn with my 3 year old this morning, leaving me to sleep in with the baby. And he made all the bottles for daycare without me telling him to. Smooth morning!
