The Hunger Games

Who had read it? What did you think?

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the first book in the series and I could not put it down last night. I stayed up an hour past my normal bedtime. I really can't wait to get home after work to read some more. It's definitely not a book I would pick up just by the description, but for some reason I love it!

Ooh Ooh me me!!  I am a recent convert.  I had a hard time putting the first and second books down.  It took me a week to geth through the third.  I really enjoyed the first two because it kept me wondering but the third one felt a little rushed.  It wasn't as fun as the others but don't let that discourage you.  The series was pretty awesome altogether.

  • I really loved these books, I devoured all three of them in a matter days.

I agree that the 3rd book felt rushed, she did tie up all the loose ends but I remember being almost done and feeling like when are my questions going to be answered because I'm almost done reading.

The 2nd book is by far my favorite but it was a nice series that reminded me why I used to love to read so much.

I think part of the reason I'm liking it so much is because of how horribly awful the thought of the hunger games actually is. It's like the car accident that is so awful you don't want to look at it, but you just have to. Then, throw in Katniss' slow discovery of how awful it really is. I don't know... It's just good.
