Third Person Thursday
Stacey is sweating in her office. In an effort to conserve energy this summer, the university turns off the air from 1pm to 7:30am. Stacey's office ours are 7:30am to 3pm. If you do the math, that means that when Stacey came into work this morning, the air had JUST come on. Stacey's car thermometer read 75 at 7am. It's going to be a hot day.
Stacey is excited to have a weekend with L home and nothing to do except mulch on Saturday morning.

Mar is looking into buying laminate flooring to redo their whole first floor. Right now there's three different types of flooring down, and the crappy laminate tiles in the kitchen are starting to peel up. But Mar's DH needs to measure the area so they can figure out pricing, and she's decided to use him to burp Felicity, instead of letting him finish measuring. Mostly because Mar wanted to eat her breakfast before it was completely cold for once -- she didn't succeed. It was cold.
Mar needs to start pumping to build a stash, but she doesn't know when to do it, how much, etc. Shes feels ignorant on "the ways of the pump". Plus she likes taking naps with her LO. Felicity sleeps in the boppy and Mar uses an arm of the boppy as a pillow and they nap together on the couch. Mar doesn't want to give up that special nap time to pump because they dont co sleep (due to cat, and Mar and her DH sleep with blankets pulled up around their heads, and Dh has PTSD dreams and Mar gets elbowed/punched a lot and doesn't need him whacking baby in the middle of the night.), so this is the only time they really have to snuggle sleep together.
Mar is taking Felicity to her second Dr's appt tomorrow, she can't wait to see how much she's grown since her last appointment!

kelly and laine do this too!!!!
kelly is incredibly in love with laine, but is exhausted beyond belief. Kelly knew it would be tiring, but the level of exhaustion is ridiculous. Kelly wishes her mom lived near by so that she could come over and let Kelly sneak in a 2 hour nap. Kelly feels mildly guilty about complaining because she absolutely loves being at home with laine...she is obsessed with that baby!!!
kelly is proud of her and justin because they have really tried to maintain their lives...they started right back up with wednesday dinners with friends last week (just at a friend's apartment, but still! it's a big deal!), and went to an actual restaurant on friday! They think they will go to another restaurant this friday.
kelly thinks she'll treat herself to an iced white mocha from starbucks this afternoon
Shelley is thinking her boy was playing with his fingers last night because it felt just like she was being tickled but on the inside.
Shelley is glad all of her friends in the Springfield area are all fine and had no damage to their homes or businesses (some were within 6 blocks of the worst hit area). Some are without power and have intermittent (sp?) cell coverage due to some towers being knocked down.
Shelley thinks it's time for a muffin. She's hungry.
Alicia is glad that she is getting soo much great advice for BF and pumping in the future from all of these posts. She is also glad she has this board to turn to since there is no way that she would talk to her MIL about BF or her one BFing friend. Alicia

Oh and Alicia is super stoked that she is going away for 4th of July. OC here she comes! Alicia desperately needs a vacation and simply cannot wait until September for their scheduled vacay
Summer is so glad it's helpful. She feels bad when the board turns all baby talk but can't help wanting to help the other moms. She knows how her felt like she was spinning and wants to give her buds all the help she can to ease that for them (it's inevitable though!).
Where is Alicia going on vacation? She and her Nick always take good vacations!

kelly has something else to say...
kelly was best friends with this guy in high school...everyone thought they were dating, but they never did. Everyone also "knew" this guy was gay, but he continued to have girlfriends (who all hated kelly, btw). Anyway, he graduated and kelly stopped hearing from him pretty much. kelly ran into his sister one day, and she told kelly that the guy finally came out to his family, but not really to anyone else (apparently his parents read his journal or something like that). Kelly has reached out to him many times, because they were so close in high school, but has received no response.
The guy recently posted on facebook that he is riding in the AIDS LifeCycle race, and is raising money. As many of you know, kelly works for an hiv/aids support agency, so this cause is really important to her. So kelly decided to make a donation for him. kelly knows she should just feel good about making the donation, but kelly will be really pizzed if the guy doesn't contact her...
Shaina has to work tomorrow.
Shaina also has to deal with the tile people at 1. Shaina hopes she is done with work before she has to meet them, otherwise, she'll be driving home, dealing with them and then having to go back to work.

Shelley had a chocolate chip muffin. She has an apple spice muffin for tomorrow.
Teresa had a really yummy dinner last night at a local BBQ place for her dad's birthday. She is sad she forgot to bring leftovers for lunch. oh well that will be her dinner tonight.
Teresa realized she should probably get going on making plans for her own birthday next weekend. She knows BIL and gf are planning to be availble for Sat night, but she hasn't talk to any of her other friends. She has been kinda hoping that DH would jsut handle it all since they are his friends as well. But she will probably have to keep asking him because he is very forgetful. She just hopes people will still be available.
Teresa loves all of the discussion abou the babies. Though she is not pregnant or a mom, she has learned a lot from those that are in what is down the road when she and DH do start a family. I hope everyone is around in a few years so I can get more advice then!
