POLL: Help me make a frivolous decision
So my BFF is visiting Vancouver, BC, for a conference, and has invited me to spend the weekend with her! She arrives Friday evening, will spend Saturday and Sunday at the conference, and leaves Monday. Basically, I'd be on my own during the day, and we'd be able to hang out at night.
But I can't decide when to go! Help me make this lame, absolutely inconsequential decision! (We are assuming that I have banked vacation time and fare is no problem.)
ETA that I get to see her about once every couple years.

I'd say it really depends on how much vacation you have banked and whether you'll need it for something else. In other words, how much impact will it have on you to take this day off?
Also depends on what traffic is like - that might impact my decision to leave on a Friday morning instead of after work.
Oh, duh. I forgot to mention that I want to take the Amtrak train from Seattle to Vancouver.
Apparently trying to cross the border on a weekend is a nightmare by car, and if you take a bus, they stop at the border and make you get off and go through customs. The train takes a bit longer, but does not typically stop (although it can be stopped).
I have 40 hours of vacation, have used 8, and no plans for vacation this year. It doesn't sound like I'll be using it, though.
