Tornadoes in Mass? Check-in girls!
Holy Smokes - I was a little surprised to learn about the Mass tornadoes - in addition to my Nestie NE girls, I have several other friends in Mass as well. Are you ladies alright? Homes ok? Please check in...you know we're thinking about you!!

I'm good - and I assume the other girls are safe as well as I THINK we are all eastern Mass'ers!
Crazy stuff! first time there has been a fatality from a tornado since 1995 (May 29th oddly enough!)... and there were four! Apparently they are thinking between 5 and 7 tornadoes touched down - which is a big amount for a state that has a lot of hills and water and isn't really the flat land that tornadoes thrive in. plus one big one was on the ground for 30 - 45 mins - crazy!
I must admit - I was QUITE disappointed that we didn't even get a lil thunder and lightening in Somerset (big semi-colon frowny face). I'm a huge weather dork (4 years of Meteorology at Plymouth State U!) and the sound of the lightening siren from the golf course across the river gives me goose bumps! lol i was super motivated by the thought of some sweet a$$ t-storms i hung out outside, with my camera, and planted a tree! LOL all while hearing the thunder rolling from afar... then? nothing. booooooooooo.

There may be power outages which could be a reason why some don't check in right away (I had to call my mom collect from a payphone after Katrina hit Miami!), but I hope to hear from all our Mass gals soon!

thanks for you concern, girls! all is ok here. we only got a few rumbles of thunder and lightning... it's definitely scary though - tornadoes definitely do not happen around here!!

Here and accounted for! There were some tornadoes spotted near my parents and FIL's house which was SCARY. The thunder/lightening at one point was pretty bad at my apt but thankfully was all over relatively soon.
Western MA got hit pretty hard though
