I got a text from B this morning asking me to call him ASAP. I called him and he ask me if I have anything to share with him. Uh no... He then says "So you didn't know your Grandpa got married yesterday?" WTF?! NO! One of B's employees goes to our yacht club and she was there last night when my Grandfather and his Bride announced their marriage. B couldn't believe he would tell people at the yacht club before telling his own family.
Now my Grandmother passed away the September before we got married. He had this girlfriend before Christmas that year. They have been engaged for maybe a 1 or 2 (I can't really remember). No one in our family likes his new wife; she is trashy, bossy and very short with people. She is supposedly a year older then my mom but she looks about 15 years older then her. They have been saying they were going to have a destination wedding.
I called my mom and asked her if she knew grandpa got married. She tells me that she sort of knew. She got a text message from him the night before saying that the next day he was getting married and retiring. She said she texted him back "congrats" and left it at that. She then swore me to secrecy (so of course I'm going to share it with you) that the real kicker is that they are moving in with my aunt and uncle. Her brother called her freaking out the other day wondering if it was a huge mistake. She told him as long as your wife and new step mother don?t kill each other it should be ok. NICE!! Supposedly they are moving in for a year, fixing up my grandfathers house, selling it and then moving to West Virginia. Ooooook. My uncle is scared he will never get rid of them.
Hahahahaha I can't wait for my brother's going away party that is going to be held at my Uncle's house where the newly weds will be living!!
Re: New family drama
I still think she is lying about her age!! My Grandpa is now 71 and she is now 50. This picture was take 3 years ago.
My mom is currently 48.
Your Grandpa's wife definitely looks older, but your Mom doesn't look 48!
That is nutso though!
