those fan type mosquito repellents
has anyone used one? do they work? and are they one time use, or can you turn them on and off? i am getting eaten alive every time i go out to my deck to water my plants. i hate the thought of putting bug spray on though because i don't like how it feels. i'd love to strap one of those fan type bug repellent things on my belt and go if they work however i don't want to have to open a new one every time.

Re: those fan type mosquito repellents
Do you not have screens on your windows? How do mosquitos get inside?
MD- I've used them before. I'm not sure they will work for what you want them to do. I have found that they work best in area with no wind and little movement. If you where sitting out on your patio then yes. Moving around not so much. Plus I think it takes a little while for it to "build up" around you. So it might not have built up enough before you even finish watering the flowers.
They do turn off and on. I can remember how long a cartridge is good for though. I want to say its more then 48hrs but less then a week. All I know is I bought them to use at the yacht club and instead of spraying myself. It was always too windy and I never turned it on again before the cartridge expired.
