Sprint VS Verizon... Share the pros and cons
We currently have T-mobile and DH's contract will be up in July, we will be breaking mine then too. The main reason for a different carrier is we do not have service in our house. We live a garden view condo and the only way we get serve is with the phone on the window sill. My parents have verizon and both have service and DH has sprint for work and has service so I know that issue wont be with the new provider.
But what other pros and cons? Roughly what is your bill if you have 2 "new" phones, internet and texting?

Re: Sprint VS Verizon... Share the pros and cons
I've had both services before and have been happy with both.
We're with Sprint now because I get a slightly better discount there. I've been extremely impressed with their customer service lately, too.
Do either of your employers offer discounts?

DH has verizon because he gets a huge deal on the iphone package since he works at apple.
I have sprint because we got a huge discount through my employer when we signed up, so my phone is just over 50/month with a blackberry and unlimited data plan.
We're both happy. DH was with sprint until the verizon iphone plan came out a couple months ago, but he wasn't unhappy with sprint at all.

We have Sprint, and have had Sprint since right before we got married. Our bill is around $150, for three smart phones, unlimited text and unlimited data. We have zero complaints and actually have raves. I lost my phone on a recent trip to Vegas and thought I had insurance. Turns out I didn't have insurance, called customer service, they reset my upgrade and I got a new phone a year early with a full discount.
We get a discount through our jobs.
look at the deals you get though, typically sprint's are deeper discounts (at least, IME). I think I got something like 10% at verizon through my employer, but sprint I got 23%...and sprint's plans were cheaper to begin with.
We have two blackberries (unlimited data plan) and pay roughly $160/month with Verizon.
We used to both have Sprint and the thing that DH hated the most was their lack of customer service. We're finding that Verizon has better coverage than we had with Sprint.
We also talk/text a lot with my family, who had Verizon so that helped us in deciding too since all of our texts/calls would be free to them.
I've had Sprint forever, and it's always been great, but they are now adding an extra $10 per line with a smartphone. Seems like they are going to start being like all the other companies with the little fees all over the place. I have the family unlimited data and still get charged this.
I will probable look for another carrier when my contract is up.
