I liked it! It was my first time there. As soon as we pulled in to town my sister was like "you're going to want to move here." It is the cutest little town ever! We walked around a bit, went to the settlement shops and had lunch at The Anvil. We actually each just had a soup and split an appetizer, and our plan was to make our way down to Sal's for a slice of pizza, but that didn't happen. Our DHs were golfing and they only golfed 9 holes, then came to town to meet us. So they sort of cramped our style! They had lunch and then we all met at an ice cream place and then they were ready to go. There were still alot of shops that we didn't get to, so we want to go back sometime.

Magda- what was the one shop you were asking me about along time ago? Maybe we went there...

  • Julia- have you ever been to the Strawberry festival there? I am sure it is a crazy madhouse, but was maybe thinking of checking it out this year.

Aw fun! I don't remember the name of the store but it was in the mill shops or something-- on the first floor, right hand side and had a lot of local crafts/ artwork/ jewelry/ pottery/ pewter stuff.

  • Aww it sounds like you guys had a great time! Too bad tge guys came back early, but like you said: it gives you a reason to go back again. It is a fun place to live though! Its where our apartment was before we bought our house, but even still we're about 5 minutes away :) I have not been to the Strawberry Fest, since we've known about it, we've actually never been in town that weekend! I know plenty of people who have gone and they all love it: the food, the beer, the atmosphere ... A lot of people, but a lot of fun!
