  I think each daycare operates independently, so all daycares in the county aren't going to be the same. With that said, was the incident reported to the state? You can look at inspection reports for Maryland here: http://www.checkccmd.org/  and http://msdecompliancereports.org/msdesearch.asp.

  Yeah, I'm not sure what one daycare in PG would have to do with another. Unless they're a chain, they're all independent and we haven't had problems with ours.

  Ditto pp about looking up violations on the web. If you switch to a new place you can check their violations.  My experience (in VA) is almost everyone has SOME violation, but if it's something like "Provider didn't have updated vaccination record for one child" or something paperwork related, I think that's better than "Provider didn't have the gate to the play area secured and children were found wandering in the street" or something like that!

  Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
