    Seventh Anniversary

    I have nothing exciting planned...

I'll be cleaning and shopping for a side table for my living room today...

Tomorrow I'm going to hit the farmer's market in DTSS first thing and then enjoy the gorgeous day by the pool...

Sunday I'll take my buddy KJ to Downs Park for a swim and if its really nice out I'll probably go back over to the pool.... if its not gorgeous out then I'm thinking about doing a double feature of Bridesmaids/Hangover 2.

    Exciting stuff Geeked

  • We're going to the Outer Banks!  I'm so excited.  We haven't had a real vacation in ages, and this will be DS's first real time at the beach!  Come on, 5 o'clock!!

  • I think we are going to be spending some quality time at the pool. DD loves it! My mom is coming to visit on Saturday.

And, I am taking a pilates reformer class on Sunday and probably won't be able to walk after.

  • Tonight: Either a few blissful hours alone in a coffee shop reading a book (and maybe partaking in a cupcake) or quality time with the husband.  Either way, it sounds like a good evening!  We've been so busy lately that we haven't had much time together & I haven't had much time for myself.

Tomorrow: Farmer's market, gardening and maybe going on a long walk with the kid/hubz to forage for more mulberries.  My 3-hr class got cancelled so we can play all day!

Sunday: The hubz has a mountain bike race so I'm thinking about going to the park with Sprout or maybe blowing up his little pool.

Nothing terribly thrilling, but I'm thinking it will be fun.

  • Tonight: Grilled pizza, a good friend and beer.  Hopefully DH lights a fire on the patio and we can chat after then kiddos go to bed.

Tomorrow: An estate sale in the morning followed by a pool birthday party.  Evening Mass.

Sunday:  Brunch and faith sharing with the girls in the morning and dinner with friends who just moved back after being away for 3 years (beyond excited to see them).

  • I have no plans.  If it is super nice I would like to go to the pool, but I'm a little annoyed that I would have to do that alone, so we'll see.

  • College reunion! Lots of wine! My best friend is arriving in a  few hours (early release for me from the office -- whee!) and we're starting our winefest early! Dinner at America with the girls, then drinks at the Dub afterward (pretending we're 21 again...)....

Friend and I are blowing off the class lunch tomorrow and either walking around Capitol Hill and reliving our youth or.. meeting John at his dad's house in Great Falls for pool action (and beer). Tomorrow night is the class dinner at 1789 and then either winefest in our room, or more Dub. Decisions, decisions.....

Sunday- brunch at Tabard Inn (must.make.reservations.now) and then friend flies back to RI. John and I have dinner at Potenza with former boss (Greatest Boss Ever), in town from CA.

    Then, detox.

    "What is a week-end?"
  • Forgot my own plans!

Tonight I think we're headed to Leesburg's First Friday night.  Free wine = awesome.

Tomorrow DH has to head into work.  I will try to sleep in and maybe clean a bit in the morning.  Definitely have to do laundry.  In the afternoon/evening I'm not sure what our plans are.  Hopefully just relax a bit around the house since he was gone last weekend.  I'm also hoping to get a massage sometime on Saturday.  All my major paperwork at school is done, so I'm treating myself.

Sunday we're going to go see a movie and then get ready for the week.  Nothing super exciting overall, just glad to have DH back home!

  • Today/tonight I have to do some cleaning and the dogs reallllly need a bath.  I'll probably sit outside and read a little too.

Tomorrow:  DH has the sergeant's exam in the morning, depending on how he does on that will project how we spend our day.  If he does well, we'll probably celebrate by drinking too many margaritas, if he does bad, i'll probably clean the deck and relax and he'll mope around like a sad sack.

Sunday:  We're having lunch with a family friend who is in town and then i'm not sure.  Hopefully more relaxing things... maybe we'll catch a movie or something.

  • I have to say that I'm surprised none of you DC nesties whinos will be headed Vintage VA this weekend.

That's our big event of this weekend. Vintage VA on Sunday + 5 friends + Baby Handy....should be interesting!

Friday night we're headed to the pool with Baby Handy.

Saturday night I'm sitting for our babysitting co-op.

My only regret is that the Washington Post Hunt is the same day as Vintage VA. They did the same thing last year. That's a lot of fun if anyone is interested.

  • Tonight- possibly going over a friend's for dinner and hanging out.

Tom.- Metroing all the way up to Silver Spring to help a friend put together out of town bags and favors for her wedding. I am NOT looking forward to the long journey, especially since I have to go through a bunch of track work. I'm going to try to leave by 9:30 to get there by 11...not even sure that's enough time, but I can't bear to leave any earlier. Will probably just relax with DH and maybe watch a movie when I get home.

Sunday- Church, grocery shopping, cleaning, and hopefully getting to the pool. The cleaning may just have to wait until Monday...

  • Tonight: packing

Saturday: catching an early a$$ flight to Portland for a weeklong business trip (yay for Portland, boo for business). Dinner in Portland with our board of directors (see previous yay/boo comments)

Sunday: work, work, work then heading out for a solo dinner. Trying to decide now which of the many awesome downtown Portland restaurants I'm going to visit. Early to bed because I have to up work, work, working at 6 a.m. Monday.

tomorrow: wine weekend! picking up our rental car and heading to a few wineries, then checking out leesburg, grabbing dinner, and probably more wine or a few beers.

sunday: more wineries and dinner at vintage 50!

monday: stopping at wegman's! then heading back to DC/reality (boo!)

  • Last Night: Went to the opening of Herndonfest. Saw Willie Nile for free and the band was awesome!

Today: regular day off so I had doctor appointments, then got lost in Home Depot, now I have to go unload 320 lbs of soil and plants and other gardening supplies from my car (and vacuum it), and later we have a dinner reservation to belatedly celebrate our 6th anniversary

Saturday: We're meeting my sister at the finish of her VA Wine Country half-marathon, where there'll be wine tasting. Then working out, going to a friend's farewell dinner, and going to see Otto's band at Vintage 51 in South Riding.

Sunday: We'll probably meet my brother and SIL and fam at Herndonfest for a bit, but the rest of the day will hopefully just chill and do house stuff.

  • Friday was our FIFTH anniversary!! Where does the time go?! We celebrated at L'Auberge Chez Francois and it was the nicest dinner I have ever had. By the end of it, I thought I'd have to be rolled out the door from all the food that was served!!

    Today I'm going to a friend's party.

Sunday....relax and get things organized for the last 2 weeks of school.
