thank the lord! friday is here
last night i ran 5.2 miles in a really good time. it was the longest run i have ever done, and though i still have a lot of miles to work up to, and a 10 minute mile is not that impressive for most runners, i was, and still am, really proud of myself!
went to bed realllly early.
woke up to have 3 hives on my body, one on my face. oh happy day.
Re: TGIF
Is it 3pm yet? I was so tired driving in that the sun glare just made me want to close my eyes. Danger Will Robinson!
When I left work yesterday I got a speeding ticket. Farking speed trap. The posted limit on the street next to my building is 25. It is physically impossible for me to go that slow. I was going 40. Yikes. $100 later, it's only a 2 point ticket. I say again, farking speed trap!
Binged at Rib City yesterday. Was hungry, grumpy, tired, starving and it was WINDY! (Wind fills me with rage.) So I ate like I'd never had a meal in my life.
The new fad in town is fro-yo shops where you create your own sundae masterpiece. There are two within a 10 mile radius of both houses, so we hit one up last night. I made my biggest sundae ever (hello reese's pb yogurt, swirled w/ chocolate, pieces of nutter butter cookies, pb & chocolate sauces, I love you!). Needless to say, I MUST run this evening. Boo hiss. Hate.
Shauni-Congrats on the 5.2 miles, big accomplishment! The farthest I've ever run is a 10k and I thought I would die. 10 minute miles are a goal for me. Misty=slowest.runner.ever.
ETA: when I ran that 10k, I was the absolute LAST person across the finish line. Had a police escort the entire time. Lame.
Shauni - That's awesome! I'm proud of you, too. I don't think I could run 5.2 miles if my life depended on it!
Brew - Dude, the speeding ticket sucks. 25mph is just not possible. My car coasts faster than that! :-P
I'm so happy today is Friday! My allergies have been unbearable lately. My eyes are swollen and itchy and my sinuses are all pressurized. Ick. I fell asleep on the couch at 9:00 last night (which is completely unheard of for me) and woke up this morning just in time to catch NKOTB and BSB on the Today Show. Hell yeah - today's going to be a good day! :-)
Shauni- I read that on FB last night and was so proud of you!!! :-) But, um, what the heck are the hives from??
I would probably get hives too if I ran b/c I think I'm allergic to running.
I'm so freakin happy that it's friday!! And although I'm a little tired, i'm feeling good, so I'm pumped about that!
I just want to get through the day and have it be 4:30 already!
brew, i literally laughed out loud at you finishing dead last. that is going to be me with the half marathon. i have so much work to do before i reach that point. 10K is the next goal
i am proud of you for finishing a 10K, regardless of your time!
sunshine, i have serious allergies too. so bad this year. also, in CA i had no allergies because there was nothing to be allergic to. no pollen, grass, flowers, leafy trees, etc. it is killing me this year!
moelson, lord knows about the hives. they are gone now, thanks to teeny tiny jewish jesus.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watch the Today Show every farking morning. Today I got busy and never turned the tv on. How could I forget!!!
A beautiful evening last night. A nice walk around the neighborhood, and Baby Q went to bed at 9:30 for the 2nd night in a row...hoping for a trend here.
After zooming all over creation over the Mem Day weekend, we have Absolutely zero plans for the next two days...can.not.wait.
This makes me sad I missed it.
I am also still upset with Greg for not flying me/us to CT so I could see them at the happiest place on earth (Mohegan Sun) It's both of our favorite place so it would have been a win/win.
I ran w/ a group of 3 people. They ran slow w/ me so I wouldn't be alone. My friend said she would finish last, so I wouldn't be embarrassed. But I embraced my slow ness and my finish line pic is epic
Shauni awesome run!
Yesterday was our bake sale for Relay for Life which was pretty successful raising almost $300. Only downside, I got an awful sunburn on my face and neck, yay for looking like a lobster. I was so exhausted and not feeling well from the sunburn (and probably sugar overload) that I got home and crashed for the night around 7.
As far as running I have missed my runs two days in a row now and am going to struggle to fit one in today. I have a hair cut at noon and then have to travel to my godparents' son's high school graduation (got that?). Should be a good day minus the thunderstorms that are rolling through.
Aw, I missed this!
Happy Friday. This weekend went by really fast for me. I've been so busy passed couple of days and I am so tired. Today is DH's 30th b-day. He was saying bye as he left this morning. I was so tired I just said my usual "have a good day at work, be careful, I love you." Then it hit me...it's his b-day. So I told him happy 30th b-day. We're going out to dinner tonight. He wants to get sh!t faced drunk.
Tomorrow I have a training in the morning on how to respond to a SART, which is a medical exam for victims of sexual assault. It should be very interesting. Then we have a grad bbq to go to. I want to go to Ikea so maybe we can stop by.
Good news! Today my car will be paid off. After five years of payment I will make my final payment today. I am so excited, no more car payment (on my car, we still have the other payment that we will split).
Shauni you rock!! I have a 10ish pace but can only get in 3 miles before I die.
Last night I was in bed and passed out by 930. It was awesome! Tonight we are just bebopping around the house and maybe my parents will come in for a bbq because that sounds good :-)
Tomorrow E is headed camping with her dad and Tobe has to wake up at the buttcrack of dawn for Motley Crue ticket sales. I will be going for a run, then getting my nails and toes done. Going to buy some new shorts and will hopefully spend a rediculous amount of time in the shower. Then we have dinner with a friend, then its a girls night for me!
I am a little bummed I missed this, but also incredibly excited that I am going to the NKOTBSB concert in less than 2 weeks! And to add to my ridiculous excitement, I'm seeing them only 3 days after going to the Glee concert. Best week ever, anyone?
This weekend is pretty crazy. DH and I are volunteering at my RB's school carnival tonight, and then we have a business meeting after that.
Tomorrow, my brother and SIL are giving us their yard because we have been wanting to have a yard sale and their big neighborhood one is tomorrow. DH and my brother are supposed to sell stuff while SIL and I shop.
Sunday, my cousin is graduating from high school, and he has been elected by his class to give a speech. So my whole extended family is going to the commencement, and then to my aunt and uncle's house for a big bonfire and party. My family from GA is even coming up!

Happy Friday! This is how my morning started: after an hour-long commute due to worse-than-usual traffic, I found a parking spot and started to walk to my office. Phone rings and it's a panicked H. He went to take some trash out to the garage and somehow managed to lock himself out of the rest of the house with only his cell phone, but not his car keys or wallet. Don't even ask how that happened; I don't know. (The door locked when it shut by accident behind him, every other door to the house was locked, and H had closed and locked all the windows since it got a little chilly last night. No way to get in without breaking something). I asked H about our outdoor spare key, which he promised me he had made and hid awhile ago. He was then forced to tell me he didn't actually do it. I didn't even think to check that he actually hid it where he said he did cuz I assumed he did it. I guess it's partially my fault for not checking or just doing it myself.
Anyway, since he couldn't leave for work without his car keys or wallet, I was forced to drive ALL the way back home to let him in and then drive ALL the way down to work again. Fortunately, the traffic had lightened up a bit by then so the whole thing only took an hour and a half, but seriously, WTF?? I am going to beat him up when I get home. He said he owes me; I said well now we can get the dog I've been wanting! He just laughed. GRRRRRRRR H.
Yay, TGIF indeed!
I'm exhausted today, still making up for lost sleep on Wednesday night when I stayed at my parents. I somehow caught H's cold (he's Typhoid Mary!) when I almost never get colds, and was worried it would linger because my immune system is down from being pg. But my norm seems to be holding, and I'm already feeling much better today. But yesterday sucked.
It was pretty funny, in a way. I had morning sickness and a cold, and after court yesterday morning I was just exhausted because I also hadn't slept much. So I literally fell asleep on the floor of my office. Co-workers could only see my feet sticking out from behind the desk, like I'm the Wicked Witch and a house (the desk) fell on me. Lol.
Shauni, that's great! 10mph is nothing to sneeze at. My comfortable pace is 10:30, and I'm always pleased with it.
Moleson, happy sweet pea day! Yay! I always really love to see the fruit ticker change weeks. Hope you're feeling better.
