Now I'm a fan of donuts, but why isn't there a National Apple Day or something else to promote a healthy lifestyle?
Free Chic-Fil-A, free donuts, free Rita's, free coffee, etc....and we wonder why America is so unhealthy.
And yes, I realize eating like this once in a while isn't going to ruin you, but it encourages poor practices IMO. Feel free to flame away.

I work about 50 yards away from a DD, which isn't going to help things. Its a DD/Baskin Robins and I seriously wish I hadn't discovered their milkshakes the other day when it was like 96 degrees.
And I declare Saturday June 4 National Hummus Day!
There is an entire National Apple Month. It's October. Everything has a day. Granola Bar day is in January. There is also National Egg Day, Cheese Day, Crabmeat Day, Blueberry Turnover Day, Strawberry Day, Celery Month, Peach Month, etc, etc, etc. My birthday is National Dry Martini Day (blech). Everyday is a "food holiday". The difference is most don't have specialty retailors dedicated exclusively to them. I mean there is no Apple Slice Cafe, or Granola Bar store.

This was me on Donut Day last year - I craved them (and fruit... at least I had a healthy craving to balance out my unhealthy craving) and was THRILLED to hear about this day.
