You peep-toes made the news down here last night!
Roll call!
Re: Everyone okay?
What does the term 'peep-toes' mean? All I'm getting when I google it are shoes (thank you captain obvious, lol).
We had some crazy lightning and the sky was changing all sorts of colors, but luckily the cell that we over us for an hour didn't produce any tornadoes.
I hope all our central MA girls are okay!
That was the weirdest weather phenomenon I've seen in all my years of living in Boston (and that's saying something for this area!). It boggles my mind that there could be such destruction just a couple hours west of me, yet all I saw was a crazy lightening storm that lasted about 15 minutes. Nothing out of the ordinary in my area or Boston itself as far as I can see.
ead, I'm glad to see in the other post that your family is totally safe. Lots of thoughts to all the emergency responders.
We got it pretty bad here. No damage to my property (very lucky) but the tornado touched down about 1/4 mi from my parents in Oxford. We also have a friend in Southbridge who lost his home and another who lost his whole business (garage/gas station).
It was scary enough for me. H wasn't home and I had to retreat to the basement for awhile, especially when they reported it sighted about 1 mi from my house on rt 31.
The sky was mostly orange but did turn green here at one point, freaky!
We had a lot of thunder and wind. When the storm finally hit, it was pouring and windy and tundering... but the sun was out! I couldn't believe it. I hope everyone in Western Mass is alright.
I'm glad everyone is physically OK, but I can't imagine what a shock it must be to have lost a home or business. I don't think anyone was expecting it to be this bad.
I'm so glad it's over!
DH got stuck in MO last night, so I was all alone and it was scary. The dog was the most scared, she hid in the bathtub all night.
I'm so sorry for your friends' losses. But like Rock said, at least they are okay!
Thank you ladies.
This is a link to a video of the damage at the garage site, two of his employees where there at the time it hit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSPMOoAEys8&feature=player_embedded
FYI: Lots of foul language if you are at work!
Glad so many of you are okay!
Peeps like short for people. I just added the toes because, well they are shoes and it just typed out. LOL
