how do you deal with a douchey email at work?
Do you just ignore it? Do you say something back? Do you kill them with kindness?
I received one this afternoon, it's from an agency person we deal with who reviews our projects so I have to be as polite as possible. I had to edit my response about 5 times because each time I read it back to myself I could detect the snark.
I wish I could let it roll off! This is really hard for me because I am the kind of person who needs to get the last word in, lol.
Re: how do you deal with a douchey email at work?
It entirely depends on who they are and how much I need their goodwill to do my job.
When it was the girl who orders the supplies in one of the other offices getting snippy with me for no good reason...I told her off. (politely...kinda) But in your case, yeah, kill 'em with kindness. I suck up to agency reviewers like crazy no matter how assholio they are.
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
I tend to just let it roll off.
I will repeat it to 1/2 dozen people to just get them to agree with me (see post below re homeless people) but I don't really think responding helps.
