shade tent

We live in a new development that doesn't have any shade trees which makes it hard for me to want to take Benjamin outside. Do you guys have any recommendations on shade tents? We don't want to spend a ton but want something that he can sit under while we are all outside.

Re: shade tent

  • I saw some at Aldi's on the SS. Bu the others should have them too.

We have this tent for our girls. It sets up super easy and can be used indoors or out. We have no need for shade as our yard is almost completely shaded but this would serve that purpose for now and then a fun toy for when he is bigger. The tunnel is separate and there is a window/flap that comes down when the tunnel is not in place. The door panels also tie back as shown in the picture. It is the Discovery Kids Playtent and you can get it for about $20.

  • They have a couple 'pop up' styles at BRU.  I think they run from 30-50 dollars.

I saw something like this over the weekend.  It was like a half-shell/half tent once it was set up.  Very cool.
