I was having a discussion with a friend about weird movies (evolved from another conversation).
So, I ask....what do you think the weirdest movies you've ever seen are?
Re: Weirdest Movie Poll
both are david lynch movies .. eraserhead and boxing helena
Forbidden Zone is the first one that came to mind... Herve Villechaize, Susan Tyrell, music by Danny Elfman (who plays the Devil)... a total trip!
eta: Here's the description from IMDB:
A mysterious door in the basement of the Hercules house leads to the Sixth Dimension by way of a gigantic set of intestine. When Frenchy slips through the door, King Fausto falls in love with her. The jealous Queen Doris takes Frenchy prisoner, and it is up to the Hercules family and friend Squeezit Henderson to rescue her.

also: triplets of belleville.
OMG yes!!!
Eyes Wide Shut was SO weird!
Also Anything Else was SO weird!
You thought Triplets of Belleville was weird? I LOVED that movie.
Barton Fink is probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Clockwork Orange too, but I barely remember it.

Zombie Strippers

There was also a french horror film I watch a million years ago, it was terrible and involved the killer removing heads from his victims and having them preform fellatio...cannot remember the name of it....but that is probably good, it was horrible...so messed up.
Oh and Y tu mama tambien, horrible movie...the diving board scene was SO messed up.
Bad Education was bad too.
I really like indie films and obscure stuff, I used to spend my saturday nights at all those weird little movie theaters in SF when I was 21-22.
Money Matters The other half's blog.
EJ is growing up too fast!
I said it was weird, not that I didn't like it. I own it.
A lot of the movies listed, in fact, are either permanent fixtures in our collection or have been watched many, many times.
I let my freak flag fly, sista ;-)
OK, good. Whew. We saw his newer film, The Illusionist, recently and it wasn't nearly as good.
I remember enjoying that one. But I pph Ed Norton...
We saw The Prestige at the same time and it was awesome...can't remember if it was weird, but it's linked in my head because of how closely together we watched them.
Being John Malkovich
The Incredible Shrinking Woman (one of my brother and I's favorites from when we were little)
ETA: No Country for Old Men was trippy too.
