Pick your Own?

Any pick your own places around here?  I'm looking for strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches... pretty much anything.

Thanks :)

Re: Pick your Own?

  • There are a ton of apple places around here come fall.  I'm not sure of specifics but I know some of the girls are good with this stuff.  I'm curious to know of any other fruit places.  :)

  • In the fall be sure to go to Three Cedars Farm in Northville off of 6 Mile, great place for kids, ds's class did a field trip there and he cried when we had to leave.  The website is www.threecedarsfarm.org

There are lots of apple places too, I know a lot of people go to Parmenter's in Northville.

  • Check out Denowitz, I haven't been there in forever, but there is one by where I grew up and used to go there all of the time.  Looks like there is one in Hartland too.

They have strawberries and I believe all sorts of other things...

  • There is Apple Charlie's in New Boston - despite the name - they have U-Pick produce year round. I've gone there the past couple years and my husband grew up there!  There apples in the fall are pretty good too :)

There is also Rowe's produce in Ypsilanti that I used to go to a bit to pick Strawberries and sugar snap peas every summer as a kid.

    I love U-pick places!

You can also check out this website if you want more options - it lists places by the area and tells you what they have:

I know you're new, and have been posting a lot - work's been busy, so I've been doing more lurking than posting, but I've been meaning to ask - your profile says your from Buffalo?  My dad's side of the family is from the Buffalo area, I was born in upstate myself :)  It's great out there I love going back to visit :)

Well, I grew up in Rochester, NY but lived in Buffalo since I graduated high school. I lived all over the Buffalo area and loved every location. Sadly, we won't be going back to Buffalo too often since none of our family lives there and most of our closest friends are in Rochester still.

    Thanks for your input ladies!!
