I'm looking for a restaurant recommendation in NYC. DH and I are going to be down there tomorrow evening for our anniversary. We are looking for any type of food, except Indian. TIA!!
Re: Good restaurant in NYC
DH just went to Woflgangs Steak house in Tribeca and said it was the best food he ever had. There a bunch down in the city.

There's a good Moroccan place in the East Village -- Cafe Mogador http://www.cafemogador.com/
If you like wine & cheese, there is also a fantastic wine & cheese bar on W. 52nd street. It isn't a traditional "dinner" place, but they have a lot of small plates big enough to share on their menu -- most of which are freaking fantastic -- that you can easily fill up on. http://www.casellula.com/philosophy.html

On 72nd i think between 7th & 8th there is a place called Sambuca. I lived there in college because my roommate worked there. Famous people in and out all the time, The building across the street is where the Beatle was shot (blanking on his name).
Ouch Navy that hurt!!! Make me feel old!!! LOL It was John Lennon and the restaurant is across from the Dakota.
I wish I had a place to recommend, but I just don't go down there enough. I am going down on Tuesday. Work related.
I second Mama Mexico (just watch out with the Pomegranate margaritas - I had 2 and was WASTED!).
Pasta Lovers on 49th between 6th and 7th.
Simply Pasta on 41 between 6th and Bway.
Morton's Steakhouse on 45th between 5th and Madison.
