what to do with baby cards and gift bags?

I know I could just dump them in the recycling but seriously there are so many gift bags. I will never know enough people having baby boys to reuse them! and the cards.... so many cards. some I will keep and cut up (cards/bags) for his baby book. SO much wasted paper, so yucky. any ideas? TIA!

  • Gift bags:
    - i've seen gift bags at goodwill before; you could donate them
    - donate to an elementary class (though might be a bit late for this year, unless you know a teacher).

The cards i'm not sure about... i'd recycle.

  • I normally lurk on this board but I do have a tip.  For the really pretty gifts bags, I use them in picture frames.  I get larger frames ( I like 10x10), cut the bag to that size, and then put an 8x10 or even smaller picture inside.  They look so nice!  It is also a nice gift idea.  You could also save cards for a hodge podge project.

  • You can donate a lot of the cards to St. Jude's Ranch...
