A gift for my pregnant friend

Hi Girls,

So the same BM that lost her baby last year before our wedding, is now 16 weeks pregnant. She is already showing, and quite a lot actually. I want to get her something fun and this is what I came up with:

I will buy the shirt and make my own iron on. I found some great deals on Maternity.com

Would you wear it?

Re: A gift for my pregnant friend

  • That's cute!!
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • No, it's kinda cheesy & I wouldn't wear it (no offense).

Is she going to find out the sex of the baby? If so, you could get the baby a cute outfit or you could get her a gift card to maternity store (like pea in the pod). I think clothing esp. for a pregnant woman should be picked out by the mother herself. Or take her out for a pedicure so she can pamper herself. :)

I have been worried it may be too much.  I am getting her a nail spa gift card - knowing her, she will want to use it later, when she is too big to bend over and do her own toes. I wanted to get her something that she will be able to enjoy throughout the pregnancy.  DH's mom suggested this pillow that lifts up your legs - she said my friend will like it a lot since it's summer and her legs will swell a lot.

They are finding out the gender, but it's too early for that - she is 16 weeks now.

Thank you for your opinion, I will probably skip any clothing then :)
