Blah to you Monday!!

Today is one of those days when I'm really glad I keep a Bodum and bag of Starbucks coffee in my desk.   I totally forgot to even pour my coffee into my travel mug this morning, not to mention forgetting my mug on the counter.  Apparently I'm tired today?

This weekend was fun though!  Lion King was really awesome, and we had a good night with Tim and Shannon.  At one point Tim commented that his face was sore because he hadn't laughed in so long.

Yesterday I took advantage of the nice weather and got some lawn maintenance in.  Derek, his brother and Erin spent the day inside playing video games.  WTF?  It was absolutely gorgeous outside!  I don't think Cole and Erin even went outside at all.

How is everyone today?  How were your weekends?

Re: Blah to you Monday!!

  • My weekend was pretty tame, Sean worked 13hrs on Saturday and our air was broken. So I decided to go on a Brewery tour with my half-siblings. It was cool hanging out with them. We decided that I was like a unicorn to them when they were little because they always heard about me.

Sunday after Sean got home from work we sat on the deck and hung out with his brother and wife and their kids. It was fun playing with them. We really should make more of an effort. I really backed off hanging out with them after the triplets because it was hard.

The dogs are still sleeping because they are exhausted from the sleepover this weekend.

  • I had to work all weekend so not much else went on.

Saturday night we went to church and yesterday after work I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill while watching Criminal Minds.  It was way to hot out to run outside.  I'm going to head out in a few minutes for a 'hopefully' long run.  It's 72 degrees with a blazing hot sun at 9am already so I'm hoping I can get 10miles in before it's too hot.

Later today I need to drop my laptop off at The Source so they can send it away and fix it.  It just doesn't turn on anymore.  Thanfully I have DHs old one to putter around on for now.  Maybe I'll try to get some clothes shopping in later today.

  • Morning!

Saturday, we went to a friends house for a BBQ. The food and weather was fabulous.  It was the boys first time outside for an extended period of time (about 5 hours).  They got to play in their playard with a friends little girl (she is 7 months old), and I think Christian already has the hots for her. LOL

Yesterday I cleaned and did laundry while DH slept before going into work. Nothing to exciting.

Today is starting off ok, the power has gone out twice in our office today.  I hope that it is not a sign of things to come.

  • Good morning.

The weekend was pretty good.  Yesterday we used some movie passes that were expiring and went to see Kung Fu Panda 2.  It was cute.  Other than that, it was normal weekend errand running type stuff.

  • Morning, all. This weekend was fine--I managed to get in two good weight workouts, go for a nice three-mile walk with the H, and get a bunch of stuff done. H and I had a fun time on Saturday night just listening to music, having a few drinks, and staying up until 2am talking. The only thing that I didn't do: set up our new printer wirelessly. And it's driving me bananas that I can't get it to work! I'll be trying again tonight.

Today I'll be calling the HR at the new job if I don't hear by a certain time; I got notice on Saturday that my background check is complete, so I really, really hope to move forward this week. I know I keep on mentioning it, but man, I've never had the process for a new job take this long.

  • Good morning! My weekend was good. I left work a little early on Friday so that I could get up to my sister's house before dinner. We went out to eat when I got there and I managed to get my sister a little drunk. It was entertaining because she doesn't drink often.

Saturday we went to my cousin's bridal shower. It was good to see all of my dad's family and catch up with them. Then we went shopping for the rest of the day. We went out to dinner and for drinks again in the evening.

Yesterday I drove home and then did laundry and cleaned the house until I went to bed. Now I'm exhausted and ready for another weekend Wink

  • Morning Everyone!

This weekend was a good one.

Friday night we had a bonfire with SIL and nieces and played some cards.

Saturday was the usual DH does yard work and I cleaned, ran a couple of errands, stressed out about still not starting the nursery (meanwhile still putting off making the decisions) and then hiking.

Sunday we went to a festival in town, ate some good but terrible for you food and got to hang out with some friends. DH and I had dinner and then went for a nice evening walk.

Today, my dad has a layover at MSP so I am going to go have lunch with him. I haven't seen him since Christmas so I am really excited to see him and I am going to visit in 2 weeks too!

    Have a great week everyone.

  • Hello all.  We had a good weekend.  Friday night went out for dinner at a pub with awesome Thai food (go figure).  Got to enjoy the gorgeous weather on Saturday with a BBQ in the afternoon and then the open-air theatre to see Lord of the Flies in the evening.  Lazy day on Sunday as we spent a lot of time watching the tennis final, but I did get my butt out to pilates.

Quiet day here today as a lot of people in my group are out of the office.  Hope to get out at a decent hour.

  • Morning all.  My weekend was pretty blah.  I worked most of Saturday and Sunday.  However, B and I did go see Kung Fu Panda II in 3D on Friday evening, which was super cute.  I'm really excited that they left a cliffhanger at the end and plan to make another one.  And last night we went to a street fest in our neighborhood, which was lots of fun.

Hope everyone has a great day.

  • Good morning! It was a busy but great weekend. Saturday was a music triple header of sorts... we sang at an ordination mass in the morning, I played a wedding in the afternoon and then we sang in a concert in the evening. But I made a little cash from the wedding so I can't complain!

Sunday my BFF threw me a little shower for just a dozen people. It was really nice to see our friends. Funny thing is, there were lots of babies at this too, ranging from 4 weeks to 2 years old, so every parent was watching the next older kid to see what they had to look forward to.

  • Friday night DH was finally home from being out of town for work. I didn't think I'd miss him so much. Saturday he left again for an all day bachelor party. He came home some time around 4am, because he said it was sort of lame and just wanted his own bed. I get it. It was nice snuggling in for the night finally.

Sunday we slept for what seemed like forever and then started putting the laminate flooring in the nursery. We're thinking we may run out of supplies, since these were leftovers from the rest of the house. Keeping our fingers crossed that we can sort of piece it all together.

Today is the first day not being able to stay with my fur baby. I'm just hoping she's doing alright and there's not a huge mess to clean up when I get home. The meds make her thirsty, but I knew if I left her water, she'd chug it and would just pee herself. I'm praying that she doesn't have problems without water. I'll be running home as fast as possible after work. I'm fighting the urge to go home on my lunch break. It's about an hour round trip, so I'd be late either way.

  • Good Morning! Our weekend was pretty busy. My in-laws were in town, and FIL helped out with a bunch of little house projects. We went out to a Japanese restaurant Saturday night, and it was delicious!

Sunday DH's aunt, uncle, and grandparents came to see the house, and we had a BBQ. We had a great time, and it was nice spending time with family.

And, I officially went off the pill on Friday. DH and I are hopping on the TTC train, and I could not be more excited. I also am so happy I have such a wonderful group of girls I can go to for advice, as well as share the experience with.

  • I had a pretty good weekend. Dh and I went and saw the new x-men movie. I'm a sucker for x-men. I really liked it. Sunday Dh had to work so I went to visit my parents and go swimming. It felt so good to swim. I'm a pool snob so I don't go into public pools. I grew up with the Great lakes and a pool so I'm not a fan of tons of people around. All around it was good and relaxing.
