What is your favorite...(beauty related)

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:

My foundation is not doing it for me anymore so I'm on the hunt for a new one.  The Makeup Forever HD and the Clinique Superbalance are popular on the BB along with bare minerals.

Re: What is your favorite...(beauty related)

  • I don't wear makeup hardly ever...only when "going out"

Foundation: Never have worn any, so I have no clue

Mascara: Cheap - Maybelline Volum Express (Curved Brush) (Light Purple Outside)

Expensive - Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes

Skin treatment: I wash my face with Clean and Clear Morning Burst (The orange one) and moisturize with Olay SPF 15. This weekend I bought Philosophy Hope in a Jar with SPF 25....I haven't used it yet but I hear great things on Sephora's reviews

Body wash: Olay Creme Ribbons (The Pink one)

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: I guess face wash and moisturizer....like I said I don't wear makeup but I like to have clear, fresh skin...I feel thats really important if you don't wear makeup

  • Foundation: Clinique- Even Better

Mascara: Any of Clinique's ... I get a free one with every free gift so I never really have to buy it.

Skin treatment:   I'm currently using an Aveeno cleanser ... for moisturizer I swear by Philosophy Hope in a Jar.     I also have Philosophy Microdelivery Peel I use every month or so... its almost as good as getting a facial.

Body wash: I share with DH so nothing special.   I think it is Nivea or something at the moment.

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: Definitely my Philosophy stuff.   Well worth the $$!

  • imageTiffany618:

for moisturizer I swear by Philosophy Hope in a Jar.

Sweet, I'm glad to hear this!! I can't wait to use it tonight! :)

  • Foundation:  I have Superbalance and I do like it.  However, I've moved over to Redness Solutions due to a possible case of rosacea.  When I go to Florida though, I'll probably go back to Bare Escentuals.  I still looked pretty good in our WDW pictures at the end of the day without touching up.  However, I used a good moisturizer because it's a little drying.

Mascara:  I like the Bad Girls Lash by Benefits but I am currently using High Lengths by Clinique right now.  I've also used and like Defensils by Lancome.

Skin treatment:  I use Clinique Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser to take off my make up and then follow up with the Dramatically Different Moisturizer.  They also have a great moisturizer called Super Defense and it comes dry/combination and oily/combination.  It's got SPF 25 and I used that last year in Florida under my make up and never burned.

Body wash:  I use some soap that I bought in France last summer and I love it.  It's really good and even my dad loves it.  However, I've used and liked some of the Oil of Olay body washes.  Mainly the ones with "ribbons".

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:  I stock up on the Rinse Off Foaming Face Wash.  Whenever I go to the Clinique counter, I try to make sure that I get a tube.

I am tempted to start using one of the little face thingy scrubbers but I get a lot of "You look like you just graduated from college" from strangers and that was 12 years ago.  Oh, I do also use once or twice a week Clinique's Turn Around Serum.  They say not to use it on a sunburned face but we (my mom and I) discovered that it actually speeds up the repair of your face.  Worked very quickly.

  • Foundation: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse- I've used it for years now and love it.

Mascara: I'm not particular. Anything that's cheap. I'm more picky about liner and shadow.

Skin Treatment: Proactive all the way. Almost 13 years going strong.

Body Wash: I use different kinds. I'm not particular with this either. I like Dove sensitive skin.

Beauty Must Have: hmmmm... I would say my Clarisonic. Before I started using that, I guess I would say my Vitamin E lotion. Use it every day on my face and all over my body. Good way to help retain elasticity!

As you can see I don't spend much money on beauty products. (Aside from the Clarisonic which was a one time purchase). I find that drugstore products work just as well for me and I can spend more money on shoes. :)

  • Foundation: Pur Minerals

Mascara: Bed Head Eyes Love It

Skin treatment:I use Alba pinapple enzyme cleanser nightly with St. Ives peach scrub twice a week

    Body wash:Body shop Satsuma

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:I would say my foundation I found it a couple years ago and absolutely love it.

  • Foundation: bareMinerals (I have ZERO make-up skills.  I never learned how to use liquid foundation)

    Mascara: Maybelline Lash Stilleto

Skin treatment: I use Olay Total Effects face wash, Biore toner, Olay Complete moisturizer and an Olay night creme.

Body wash: I actually use a bar soap.  It is Dove Sensitive skin.

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: Clarisonic

  • Foundation: Have never worn, wouldn't even know how to apply. :)

    Mascara: Clinique

Skin treatment: None really - I just use Olay Total Effects moisturizer

Body wash: Dove in the pink bottle

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: Probably moisturizer -  my skin feels so dry without it.

  • Has anyone tried the new Clinque bottom lash mascara, I am dying to try it.
  • Foundation: I don't use foundation, it feels too heavy and I don't need that much coverage.

Mascara: Mabeline, the double ended kind that is, I think, called Lash Extension

Skin treatment: Johnson's and Johnson's Baby soap - the yellow kind. Long story but it's mostly because my eyes create a lot of "sleepy" and this helps lessen it.

Body wash: Bar soap - Dove something or other it's pink.

Beauty must have: I love Aquaphor for my lips. I get crazy chapped lips and this stuff is awesome.

I don't use moisturizer or a lot of stuff for my skin. I guess one day I'll regret it, but seeing as how I'm 30 and people think I'm a student at my high school maybe I'm doing something right.

  • Foundation: I only use powder: Bare Minerals.  Love it.

Mascara: Clinique comb brush mascara.  I have a sample right now, but I really like it, so I'll probably buy a full size tube.

Skin treatment: I use the Clinique 3-step.  I also use the Clinique acne face mask twice a week.  I use my clarisonic at night.  Twice a day was too much for me, since I have oily skin.

Body wash:  Dove sensitive skin bar soap

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:  Hmm... I have a whole make-up bag full of stuff I would rather not live without.  But, if push came to shove, at least let me have some mascara.

  • Foundation: Bare Minerals. Love it.

    Mascara:  Maybelline Full 'n Soft

    Skin treatment:  Proactiv

    Body wash:  Neutrogena

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:  Mascara or chapstick for sure!

  • Foundation: Neutrogena Skin Clearing liquid

Mascara: Rimmel Volume Flash Max Bold Curves

Skin treatment:  Clean and Clear Morning Burst (the yellow one) or Aveeno

Body wash: Dial body wash in Lavender

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: I would say mascara...I feel naked without it.

Cheap stuff all the way for me!

Foundation: Lancome Teint Miracle - I just started using this a few months ago, and love it!  It is light, but has full coverage.  And looks great!Mascara: Almay, "one coat tripple effect".  I've used this for years.  Every now and then I decide there must be something better out there, and try something new, but I end up throwing it out and going back to this.  I also started spraying my brushes with an alcohol/water mixture after using them every day.  Since I've been doing that, I don't get many red bumps on my face (not spreading around bacteria from day to day.)Skin treatment: I use Cedaphil to wash my face, and started using some retinol cream that I got at Facelogic after my last facial. I was skeptical, but my skin looks so much healthier now.Body wash:  Dove moisturizing.  Not particular to which kind, whichever is on sale.Beauty must-have that you can't live without:  moisturizer, I HAVE to moisturize, although I don't particularly care for the stuff I use.  I may have to look into this philosophy stuff.

  • Thanks girls I am going to pour over these!  Maybe I should try Bare Minerals--soooo many girls love it.  But I like something that will cover my freckles.  And the MUFE is expensive.

Bare Minerals users--did any of you use BM for your wedding day makeup?  So many girls on the BB say it reflects light and it's not good for your wedding day makeup, but I have no experience with that myself.

It is not good for any day that you will have pictures taken of you.   I have some really awful pics from going out with friends wearing that makeup.   The flash reflects poorly and makes you look really white....which is a big problem when your neck/shoulders are nice and tan.

I looked fine in my vacation pictures but I know it's not the same thing.

What I like about it most is that I didn't have to touch up.  I carried my compact but I don't remember using it.  They have a little gel thing that you use underneath to help it last all day and "adhere" to your skin.  They also have some eye shadow colors and I really liked them.

I don't know that you have any redness (it's hereditary through my mom's family) but the Redness Solutions lasts pretty well through out the day for me too.

I've actually heard that a lot, but I used BM for our E-pics.  I thought the pictures came out great, but maybe that's just me.  I'm totally in love with BM!  I don't think I could ever go back to anything else.  If you do end up using it, I hope that you like it too.

Stephie-  We just recently had some family pics taken for my mom.  Both my sister and I were both wearing Bare Minerals.  I think the pics turned out well and I like the way I look in them.  I have an album on them on FB if you would like to look at them, let me know and I will tell you how to find me.

  • Foundation:  Tie between Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage and Cover Girl NatureLuxe --- depends on how much coverage I want.

Mascara:  Mabelline Lash Discovery --- no clumps!

    Skin Treatment:  Olay Regenerist serum

Body Wash:  Neutrogena Body Clear Scrub

Beauty must-have that you can't live without:  Triluma --- I have really bad melasma due to BC pills.  This is the only thing that really works in a reasonable time (Rx product); that and sunscreen!

  • I think I am the only one on the planet who had an awful experience with Bare Minerals.

    Awful. Yuck.

  • Foundation: Clinique Superbalance ... It's the best! I've used bare minerals and it just didn't stay on all day. I needed to reapply by lunch.Mascara: I'm finishing up a tube of Clinique High Impact, I don't love it though.Skin treatment: Clinique 3 StepBody wash: Dove Intensive MoistureBeauty must-have that you can't live without: Physician's Formula Organic Wear Soft Yellow Cover - Up Stick. It's cheap (walmart) and the best I've found for dark circles under eyes.

Ummm, aren't you the only one on the planet that hates Clinique?  Stick out tongue

  • Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible something or the other.  I've been using it for a few years and actually will have to go buy some new stuff after my current bottle is up- haven't had to in at least a year or 2 thanks to sales and coupons!  I will also use Makeup Forever every once in awhile since I bought it for the wedding and it cost a pretty penny.

Mascara:  I do not wear any.

Skin treatment:  I wash with Purpose; at night I use something in a small jar by Eucerin for redness and then in the morning I use their green primer moisturizer.

Body wash: whatever we have.  I only become picky in the winter because I get so dry.

Beauty must-have that you can't live without: Burt's Bees lip balm.
