Re: how is the weekend already over?
I just have to get through today and tomorrow and I will have 2 days off. This was my mantra as I was getting up this morning. Pierce decided to wake us up at 6am by flipping out barking because a cat was sitting taunting him outside. You would have thought someone was breaking into our house by the way he flipped out. SO for the next hour instead of going back to bed I clocked watched. Sure I could have gotten out of bed and done something but laying in bed was a much better idea.
i woke up at 4am to pee and couldnt fall back asleep. i always clock watch in the am. WAY better than getting up!

Im a clock watcher too! I will still wait for my 3rd alarm to go off even if Im wide awake.
It was 78 on Saturday and beautiful! E was camping with her dad so I actually got to spend a day by myself it was nice! Yesterday was 85 and just spent the day hanging out with E and Hubs. Didn't really get anything accomplished but Im ok with that since this is the last weekend until mid August that we don't have anything planned.
I am so glad this weekend is over. It was very hectic with very little sleep. I did most of the prep work for my godparents' son's graduation party Friday night until 3am and then worked from 8:30 Saturday morning until party time at 4.
Today is all about cleaning up after our company that we had with us last week, doing laundry, taking a little break, and possibly getting some work done in the garden.
The weekend was glorious, I'm so sad it's over. Friday night DH and I grilled chicken kabobs and had dinner out on the deck. It was cloudy, but still warm. Saw a small herd of elk traipse across the open space behind the house. So cool. DH went to a movie w/ his GM and I drank wine and read my kindle. It was possibly the best night ever.
Saturday was cleaning, yardwork, and laundry. I loved every second of it. For some reason, everything is more fun in the new house. Went to lunch w/ MIL and looked at granite counters for the old house. Then went to a bday party, starting at a hippie bar then to a ultra-cool club w/ VIP service. Hated both. Must be getting old.
Sunday was sleeping in and finishing up laundry. Watched a lot of TV and relaxed. Loved it except for the heat. DH is too cheap to turn on the AC, but hello, the house faces east/west. It's going to be a long summer...
LO = little one???
My weekend isn't over yet! H and I took today off so we could visit our niece.
On Friday, we just chilled out and watched some movies. Saturday, we headed down to NJ and hung out with H's fam.
My brother's graduation was yesterday. Oh man. My family is so over the top. We went to an awesome restaurant for dinner and I ate sooooo freaking much, but it was delicious. By the time H and I got back to his parents' house, I was exhausted.
So today, I get to play with my ridiculously adorable 18 m/o niece and then tomorrow it's back to work.
The Princess of Anything is Coming!
Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
Frickin' Monday!
I had a pretty good weekend. We got new gutters and a new front door & storm door installed on Saturday. (Oh, the things that excite me in my old age. :-P) I got some weeds pulled and some of the porch/yard cleaned up, then had a BBQ with some friends on Saturday night. Drank a little too much and slept til noon yesterday. Then spent all afternoon reading. Overall, not a bad weekend. :-)
Shauni - I had an awful allergy attack like that a few weeks ago. Just out of the blue...BAM I couldn't breathe or stop itching my eyes out of their sockets. I'm SO ready for pollen season to be over. Hope you're feeling better now!
My allergies are hitting me recently, too - my eyes are killing me and I'm super congested.
This weekend was good - Sunday we went with another couple to something called Sip & Chow (we had a Groupon), where you get tickets to taste different beverages and mini portions of food. We mostly used the beverage tickets for wine, but there were beers and vodkas there too. The food was sort of a disappointment - the website said "sample more than 70 unique Beers, Wines, Spirits, and Foods," but it was really more like 6 different types of alcohol, and 5 foods, which was a HUGE bummer. We had 15 tickets to try 5 different foods over and over. But still, we had fun with our friends once we got over that disappointment, I tried a lot of yummy wines that I will definitely be buying in the future, and there was live jazz music. Later we played tennis with those same people - for two hours. I am so sore today.
Crazy how quick that went! enjoy your last days without a baby! and good luck with everything

Taralyn- How exciting!
Bah, it's Monday. I'm so tired this morning and don't want to do any work. We had a nice weekend celebrating DH's b-day. That's pretty much all I have to report.
I need another weekend day! I forget that sleeping in during the summer doesn't really work, because we purposely got cellular shades that let in light. Cue to me, at 7am yesterday, trying to sleep by putting a pillow over my head. It's starting to get uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach, so my old standby to block the sun is out. Sigh.
We were going to get soooo much done yesterday, but ended up just lounging. Or at least I did!
Went maternity clothes shopping on Saturday, which was frustrating and then fun. Most of the stuff was strangely large, like if I normally wear a small, even the xs was too big. And not in the belly part, but like the pants gave me "diaper butt" even according to the saleswoman, which was not attractive. Got a few dresses, though, and finally found some work pants that fit.
taralyn-Exciting LO is so close!!
This weekend was awesome, I got to spend time with my brother! Saturday we hung out with our family and then watched the UFC fights that night. Then yesterday we were non stop busy, I completed 5 loads of laundry in the middle of going to lunch, old navy, grocery store, and heading to a friends house to BBQ with them until 9:30 last night.
This is a short week for me, because i'm going on vacation this weekend!! H gets to stay home with the pups, hehe.
Yay, exciting! I really want to try to have a little time off work before my baby arrives as well, but not sure how to plan it. I guess you plan based on due date, and just hope for the best.
Friday - worked from home and was able to complete laundry, dust and do dishes (it was that slow at work) and took my dog to daycare as a test (she did wonderfully). Saturday - H slept in until 1pm (um, helloooooo) I was up by 7am so instead of waking him up earlier, I decided to enjoy my peace and quiet. It was also raining hard so dog and I did not complete our run. One of my cousins came over to get the instructions for pet sitting this coming weekend, we ate burgers & fries (cooked at home) and then had fro-yo. H and I also caught a matinee of the new X-Men movie. Sunday - H had to work and I just lounged, looked for a tea kettle at Homegoods, Ross and TJMaxx and failed. Did not feel like going anywhere else so I went back home and lounged. This week my boss is at a week long sales conference so I'm covering for another assistant 3 days this week...should be interesting and Friday night, H and I head to the midwest as my mom is getting married on Sunday (her 2nd wedding).
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
blah! I'm ready for today to be over! I'm exhausted and just threw most of my lunch away b/c after I made it, just the sight of it was making me sick. However, my body is shaking like my blood sugar is low and I need to eat. So I'm trying to get some kind of food in my body and it's not working.
My goal this afternoon is to try and not fall asleep during our director's meeting.
Happy monday to all of you ladies!
Brew.. yes.. LO is little one..
Mush- yup, in Jersey you are entitled to 4 weeks before your EDD (estimated due date) off and 6 weeks after birth (vaginal) or 8 weeks (Cesarean) partially paid through short term disability. Plus, if you want to use FMLA, you can take an additional 6 weeks paid and 6 weeks unpaid. One of the only reasons why I enjoy living in Jersey. I did hear that if you are overdue, the state will continue to pay your disability, regardless. So score!
Thanks to everyone else! I'm really enjoying my time being able to go and get a pedicure and haircut without any real restrictions right now!
ohhhhhhh, thanks for the tip!!!!
Dude, that's awesome. California gives you the 6 or 8 weeks based on delivery, and I guess I can be put off work before then by my doctor. Given that they wanted to take me off work for a week last week when I was dehydrated, I don't think getting them to agree will be the problem!
However, my work (government) requires you to supplement the short-term disability with your leave balance, so I've been trying to limit my use of leave to after the kiddo is born, because I've used so much leave in the past year for wedding, honeymoon, and other vacation. But hmm, some time off for a pedi, etc. sounds good!
