QOTD

Do you find facial hair on your husband/other men?

On Chris, no way. It gets to one point on his beard where I think it's sexy but then like he needs to shave it right away, lol.

Some guys can get away with it and look great though, but it's not for everyone for me.

Re: QOTD

  • Not a fan of mustaches but I'm a sucker for scruff. I think it's sexy although it totally depends on the person. James will let his grow in a few days because he knows I love it.

  • DH has a goatee and I really think he probably is more attractive with it (though I do wonder if it is on it's way 'out' or not - I just have never known him any other way) I loooooove when his facial hair (beard region I guess) starts to grow out too, he thinks it looks hideous but I love the rugged look on him.

ETA: forgot to say I think facial hair on a LOT of men just looks dumb even a goatee like dh's. He keeps his trimmed down pretty short I get grossed out when facial hair is too long

  • I think scruff on a man is sexy in a bad boy kind of way if the rest of them is clean (like well dressed).  It's almost like: "I don't give a shitt but I do" if that makes any sense.  I love when L has a little scruff until he tries to make out with me then it hurts and I no longer like it.

Speaking of making out.....L has to have that test done Wednesday so yesterday was the last night we could "make out" before then.  I somehow got a small hickey on my neck.  My sister's wedding is Saturday.  FML.

  • Yeah, I meant scruff on Chris, I've never seen him with a "beard" nor do I ever!
  • Not really.  When DH and I met he had facial hair and after one makeout session I was like, it has got to go.  I feel like it just gets in the way.

I guess there are some guys who look decent with the 3 day shadow, but it's not really my thing.

  • Depends on the guy.  Some I find it attractive others it looks silly.

DH looks bad with a mustache (he grew one while deployed and he looked creepy and I told him that).  I don't usually notice his scruff until it rubs against me.  But he has to be clean shaven every day for work so it's usually just on weekends he doesn't shave.  he claims he can't grow a beard because he has bald spots in it and the hair grows in in 3 different colors.

Personally, I don't like the feel of it.

  • I like when Nick's beard is really closely shaven, he knows that and always says he'll try to keep it inline but often forgets and it gets a little out of control and I have to tell him to shave it. I don't like the scratchiness of the scruff though.

Like others, I like a couple days of 'scruff' on some guys (e.g. Justin Timberlake). I don't like full on beards (see above)

ETA: I do not like the mustache only look.

This exactly. I think Nick looks sexy either way. I like him with a day of scruff but it seriously hurts. Though his 5 o'clock shadow comes at about 1pm Wink

Nick looks pretty good with a beard, he can grow a really decent one. Last year for the missions trip he grew out his beard before going because he didn't want to shave in Panama. Then he had some fun shaving it off when we got home. I should really post some pictures, it is quite hilarious.

I will say that I hate him with a goatee. I just don't think it looks good. I also think "chin straps" are trashy.

I really think it depends on the guy though, some guys look really good with facial hair others don't. My ex looked way better with a goatee and looks pretty funny without one.

  • Years ago I dated a guy with a moustache.  Very, very sexy!  We broke up and went out again about 9 months later and he did not have the moustache, not as sexy.  But, I think he was an exception.

When DH & I met he did not have any facial hair.  He has great dimples.  But, he decided to grow a beard and man did he look sexy!  He has pretty much had the beard since then.  It looks great.  He keeps it neat and short, but not so short that is is scratchy.  He did shave it off once, but he likes to kiss A LOT and the stubble was driving me crazy.  He looks like a bad boy with the beard and I love that.

But, I do agree that some guys can pull off facial hair & some can't.

Josh has a beard, and I love it! It's so sexy and manly=) I pretty much love facial hair on guys...except when it's just the mustache, ie., Tom Selleck.

  • DH has such a baby face, i like when he has some scruff so people don't think we're teen parents Stick out tongue

  • Dh has to shave for UPS and I cant stand it, because the norm is a full on beard of some kind:) I love it. But then again its probably because I am use to it, my dad has always had one.

  • A little scruff is ok on some guys, and some guys definitely look better with facial hair. DH doesn't shave every day.  I love him shaved, or when he gets like 3 days in and gets the soft scruff.  Day 1 & 2 when is too scratchy for me. After about day 5 though he needs to shave because it's too long at that point.  I don't like him with a full beard.

I have seen pictures of him when he was 20 and had a gotee.  He looked cute, but I don't know if he would look as good now with it.

  • You can see my siggy pics and see what I like on my husband. He has shaved before and it just looks weird. He looks 16 (which makes me feel creepy) and you lose the definition of his jawline. I never liked it on other guys though. The weird thing is that my dad has always had facial hair but I swear there is not correlation.

  • Like a lot of the ladies have said, I do like al ittle scruff. Drew's facial hair comes in really thick, and a little on the red side, which I find entertaining. He usually keeps things pretty well trimmed, but he can go lumberjack really fast if he just lets it go. He has to be clean shaven for work, but when things are really slow at the end of the year he lets it come in. He explained it to my dad as his "holiday beard." I like it :-)
