ooh next season looks GOOD! when does it start? it looks like janelle and robyn aren't getting along. i think their being in seperate households will be their downfall. like he said they will be more like cousins than brothers and sisters. i think mary likes being farthest away a little too much. i don't see why she doesn't just get divorced. she could still be like an aunt and not a wife. i don't get why she took a big house. i thought she would just move in with one of the other wives. i mean, just because they couldn't get 1 big house they could have gotten two duplexes or a duplex and two houses. she didn't need a huge house, especially with them being broke. it's just a rental anyway, right?
it will be interesting to see how the kids react to the las vegas kids, especially coming from utah. if they're are pissed off about the move they will probably act out.

My Bio
i watched last night....i think robyn's pregnancy is going to cause some issues. i still don't think they truly accept her yet.
i am just mesmerized (sp?) by their lifestyle. i asked my sister if she knows where they live in Vegas so we can stalk then the next time i'm there
jk.
the 4 houses kills me. no one is working. how do they afford these things!?
An old friend of mine's dad is one of the camera men on that show. He's down in Vegas a lot now, obviously, but I saw her mom about a month ago and she told me that she's met the family and they are all really nice and seem really normal. I just can't wrap my head around their lifestyle, though.
I don't know if they're right in Vegas, but if they're a little bit outside of it - in Henderson or something the kids there probably aren't much different than kids in Utah. Those suburbs are very similar to Utah suburbs, from what I understand.
I watched it last night too.
I still dont get how running to Las Vegas is going to solve any of their problems. They were afraid that if they stayed in Utah they'd be forced to split up. However in Las Vegas they are all living in different homes anyhow. I wonder how much money they are making off the show. They also alluded to have having a retirement fund they were going to tap into to start their own business.
IMO I think Meri is pissed she had to uproot her one daughter for the safety and comfort of everyone else's family. I always thought in plyg families the first wife held a position of power. I think she is exerting her role as first wife by saying I want a big fancy house too.
As far as Robyn's pregnancy I think its going to cause a huge rift in her relationship with Meri, but Meri should expect it.
If they dont get back under one roof soon I think they will be done.
bucks - I KNOW!!! i am obsessed with their finances! i just can't imagine how they can afford all that, even if the homes aren't terribly expensive (i looked). times that by four and it's a lot to me.
dj - i don't know... since utah has the mormon influence, and they had other plyg families in their social network... i think it might be a different than what they're used to. at least that's kind of what they allude to in the preview.
that's neat that your friend works on the crew! i have no doubt that they are nice. they seem like it. and if they want to share one man among them, that's fine. you wouldn't see me doing it, but if that's their thing it's okay with me.
bmw - i don't get why vegas is going to solve their problems. unless vegas turns a blind eye to "the lifestyle".
The little suburbs outside Vegas - like Henderson especially - have a lot of Mormons. It's just like Utah. So that's why I wondered.
I didn't know they had other plyg families in their area though, I haven't seen the show.
oops i don't know why i thought you were DJ! my bad! that makes more sense as to why you would know someone on the crew as i don't think she lives anywhere near utah.
they went to a church that is all plyg families. some of the kids went to the church school.
i didn't realize that about henderson. i know where my ex-bf lived in colorado (grand junction) there were a lot of mormons (including himself although he was hardly practicing). come to think of it, i also dated a mormon from new mexico - he too wasn't very religious but we visited his family in SLC that were.
out here i only think i know one mormon.
Okay, I finally watched.
The thing that's really interesting to me is that Meri and Christine like living separately now. Isn't that the same thing as having a regular nuclear family, but you don't have to share the man.
I think if they don't move into a big house soon it's going to tear them all apart.
Really?? There are so many Mormons in DC. So many. There is an area they call Little Provo because of it. And they have their little spring break out at Duck Beach, that just happened recently, I saw it on Jeff's cousin's facebook.
