Hair Salon recommendation

So, this is for Brendan. He needs his first hair cut. My friend does hair, but I can't get him in to see her for a while and she's far away (Rochester).  So, where would you recommend taking Brendan?

The reason I'm thinking salon, rather than BoRics is because people told me I should take him to someone that knows how to cut curly hair, so they don't cut off all his curls. I don't know what to do. I know he needs a hair cut badly, but I don't know where to take him.  I live on the Eastside (SCS, GP area).  Does anyone have recommendations on where I should take him??

Thanks!

Re: Hair Salon recommendation

  • I don't have any recommendations for that area, but another thing to consider is going to someone who works out of their home.  Kids seem to be hit and miss with the first haircut, but it seems many tend to freak out, especially the first haircut.  This way it's a little calmer setting.  The lady we take Noah to has a little tv, so we usually find Sesame Street.  Her schedule is a little more relaxed too, so she can has the time to let him settle down.  Plus this way I'm also not feeling bad for disrupting other clients.

It's in Shelby Twp, so that might be a little far for you.  She's pretty easy to get to off of M-53 though.  Let me know if you want her number though.
