CO anti-affirmative action law
The Denver Post labels it "discrimination by gov" amendment. ?So, a yes vote is voting to "end discrimination by our government." ?When really it ends affirmative action. ?Now I know some people say they're the same thing, but, really, that's incredibly misleading wording.
It's still too close to call with 86% reporting.
Re: CO anti-affirmative action law
I'm kind of ambivalent on affirmative action. ?I see it as more legitimate at the university level than at employment.
But, by calling it discrimination, it brings to mind barring minorities and women from schools and employment. ?And that's just not what it does. ?But if people are going to vote emotionally on that type of response, that's why I call it misleading. ?The reverse discrimination argument against white males doesn't really give that same impression.?
