Does a bowl of cereal really fill you up for breakfast?
That's what I had for breakfast this morning, then around 10:30, I was starving, so I had a few strawberries. And now it's 11:30 and I'm starving again!
Just curious if I am the only person who does not get full (even temporarily!) from a bowl of cereal...

Re: Cereal
i do two cups of multigrain cheerios at 830ish with my coffee (8 ww points for the coffee and cheerios)...they last me (eating them) for an half/hour...
i do grapes/fruit at 11...i eat at 1
days like today i'll throw a granola bar in if i get hungry.....
so yes and no? somedays are better than others.....

If I eat cereals that are high enough in fiber and/or protein they usually keep me full - especially Kashi brand cereals and granolas.

Maybe part of the problem is that I only like the bad for you kinds! But I even bought a fiber cereal not long ago, and that didn't do it for me either.
I think I just eat WAY too much!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one, though, who gets hungry before lunch.

Really? I was dying of hunger maybe two weeks ago and the woman I work with gave me a can to have for breakfast to hold me over. My belly was on fiiiire two hours later. I was so mad because I was ever more hungry than before that lol
Maybe its just psychological for me then haha. But it keeps me more full than a bowl of cereal. Now if i had a legit b-fast like eggs, bacon, and toast...then no that would certainly keep me going longer. But between getting up early and making a big bfast, or sleeping in....sleep always wins.
I must be hungry because as soon as I read Lucky Charms I went "mmmmmm" out loud lol. I haven't had those in forever, might have to add it to the grocery list this week.

I love cereal, and agree with what some PP have said. The high fibre, non-sugary stuff (like All-bran, Kashi granola etc) does fill me up and carries me well into lunch. If I'm throwing down Super chocolate marshmallow sugar puffs, then I'm hungry again way before lunch.
I find that cereals like brown sugar miniwheats are an ok combination of fibre and sugar. I find I can usually get by until lunch on a bowl of those.
