Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • The only update I have is that we scheduled our A/S for June 21 - YAAYYY!!  I can't wait to find out if we're having a little John or a little Danielle!
  • I have a new EDD.  1/1/2012!  Hoping for the first baby of the New Year :)
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
  • We go for our first appointment tomorrow!!  The nurse said we should be getting an ultrasound and looking for the heartbeat, so DH and I are so excited!  I can't wait to see our baby and make sure everything is ok.

I think morning sickness started this week, but I'm not sure.  I haven't actually thrown up, but I feel really sick to my stomach and queasy for a lot of the day.  I think I have also developed an aversion to fruits and veggies.  The baby only wants me to eat fried and/or cheesy food Stick out tongue

  • I am doing good.  I have a couple days last week of complete overwhelming fear.  And I went through a period of thinking all of the stuff I planned on doing when we had a baby, I wouldn't be able to do with twins.  But I've come to terms and am excited.  I've decided I need to enjoy all of this pregnancy because it just might be the last time I am ever pregnant.

On the preggo side of things I am doing ok too.  I have waves of nausea but not actually being sick.  I am really bloated and my pants are really tight already.

We go for another US next Tues so I am hoping for 2 heartbeats next week!  Hopefully I can give you an EDD then.  It was 1/27/11 when I thought it was just one but I'm not sure if they change it when you are having twins.

  • Holy crap I am now second on the list!  How did this happen?  Oh yea I remember - I had a few too many drinks at the Sandpearl last November 13th, lol.

I am good, Jaxon is good.  He moves a ton.  I am starting to have random contractions.  It's real fun when I am pushing the cart at Publix with Ava in it and I have to stop, lean on the cart and breath through it.

Jaxon's official birthday has been scheduled for August 2nd at 7am.  That is only 8 weeks and one day away.  I plan to dunk my head in a bucket of chardonnay at 9am that morning, haha, j/k of course.

  • Both of my twins took their first unassisted steps Saturday night.  Brooke did it first and then Mason probably thought, I can do that too!  And he showed off his skills!  They are by no means "walking".  Just getting more adventurous!  The fun begins!

  • OMG I am number one on the list! Holy crap!!!!

I cant believe I am 33 weeks already and only have a few more to go. Its crazy how this pregnancy started off slow and now the weeks are just clicking by.

We finally decided on our furniture for the nursery so we need to go order it. Once that comes in I can finish organzing all this stuff.

We also have a little bit more painting to wrap up and then the room will be done, all except for his name on the wall but we dont know what that is going to be yet so we need to get crakin on that!

I am feeling good, my ankles swelled a little bit on Saturday but I think its because I didnt have enough water that day and I was on my feel all day.

Right now I am feeling a little uncomfortable but thats probably because I ate too much at lunch. When will I ever realize I cant eat the same way I used to. It makes me feel miserable. :(

  • Zoe is doing great! She is grabbing things and bringing the to her mouth all the time and is really strong with holding her head up. She is a freakin tank! I swear she has been eating and sleeping nonstop the past couple of days and she seems bigger to us all of a sudden. I don't think she will be in 3-6month clothes for long, and we just started putting her in them a couple of weeks ago!

We also finally took her out of her newborn napper on the pnp, lol! She is in the pnp now at night to sleep and when we get back from CA next week we will put her in her crib at night. :( H is ecstatic, I am sad about it. I think we left her in the newborn napper for too long though. the first night she slept fine, but the past 2 nights she has been crying when we put her down to sleep. I decided to test a theory last night and put her in her fuzzy lamb seat after she had been crying in her pnp. Within 2 mins she was half asleep, so I quicklymoved her back into the pnp and she was out within seconds. She must like the fuzzy, soft enveloping atmosphere to sleep in. Well, she needs to get over that fast, lol! It will be interesting when we are in CA without the magic lamb chair! :)

  • Kennedy is up to 11lbs 4oz.  She's doing really well with her development.  She hates tummy time, but does well with holding her head up when she wants to.  Or she buries her head in the floor and gets up on her knees.  Her Early Intervention was supposed to start today but the lady has pink eye, so we're aiming for Friday.  I've only been working on getting this going since MARCH!  Ridiculous I tell you.

She has an appointment for an echo with sedation this week.  I'm already dreading it.  I can't believe surgery is in 3 weeks.  I'm not going to lie.  I'm scared to death.  I was at my mom's group this morning, and was talking to one of my midwives after, and I completely lost it and started crying.  Those are going to be the hardest 4 hours of my life.  We met with one of H's co-workers daughter last night, who is an RN on the Cardiac ICU @ All Children's.  I guess she made me feel a little better, but at the same time, it made it feel like even more of a reality.  I'm just not ready to face this, but I know it be so much better once her heart is fixed.  I want to fast forward to July, and be able to know that the surgery is behind us and that she's okay.

  • sara- just wanted to say how awesome is your due date! i work in l&d and we always make a big deal about the first baby born in the new year, with a big lavish gift basket and everything :)

my pregnancy is going great! only slight movement here and there but the anatomy scan showed a squirmy little thing that wouldnt stop wiggling! we did not find out the sex but are relieved to know everything looks good and on track... after seeing the baby on the ultrasound we got more serious with thinking of names and tentatively we have decided on:

Gabriella Marie for a girl and Isaac Matthew for a boy

    getting excited!

  • We find out Wednesday if we are having a boy or girl! I'm sooo freaking excited! I'm not leaving that doc office until they tell us, so baby better show the goods. =) I'm a little nervous about the appt, and i'm not sure why. I guess i'm just hoping everything looks great.

Other than that, things have been great. Oh, and belly has definitely popped.

Thanks.  We don't have an official date as of yet.  They are saying it will be the week of June 27th.  I should know more after our appointment on Wednesday.

  • Things are going much better here than last week. The antibiotic they have me on is giving me heartburn on occasion, but I'll take that over a gallbaldder attack anyday.

I have started on Little Man's baby book and more nursery decor this week. It has been fun to have an excuse to be crafty. My Shower date has been set for July 16th and I can't wait. A friend of mine form work is throwing it and my mom has been so gracious to let it be at her house.

I officially can not wear any of my non maternity pants (even with a be band they look super funny).

I'm so glad WCF is expecting lots more bundles of joy soon. :-)
