Which area is better for small kids?
Hello,
I am looking at renting and I narrowed it down to two homes. One is within walking distance of the Belle view shopping center in alexandria...(close to the belle haven country club) The other one is also in alexandria...near king street on Timber branch the map says there is an "Ivy Hill Cementary" near there. I am trying to do all of this from a distance so any advice would help...THANK YOU!! My husband will be working in D.C. (Near Fort Mcnair) I have two small children (6 months and 2 years old) I would like to be near parks, a rec center, library etc...stuff for kids.
Re: Which area is better for small kids?
I don't know much about the Belle Haven area, but I live very close to the Ivy Hill location.
You'll have several grocery stores and a community rec center within 3 minutes of your house there. The rec center is near the high school and there are parks in some of the neighborhoods nearby. The library closest to you is 5-7 minutes away (but it is a nice, very large HQ) and you have a smaller one within a 10 minute drive.
All things considered, the Ivy Hill house would be my choice if I were you.
Stand up for something you believe in.
