30 bday ideas

Anyone have any good ideas that is relatively inexpensive, but something "different" in the Detroit area?? Trying to avoid dinner or a surprise party, the typical stuff. We were thinking of The Princess boat on the water, but the night we would be going there is an event going on so we can't go. Any ideas would be great!!! TIA

Hmm, how about dinner at one of the fancypants restaurants in Motor City Casino then getting a room for the night? Assuming you could get someone to watch your kids.

Yes that's an idea we threw around, but not sure. The bday is for a close friend of mine that doesn't get out much, so we were trying to think of something more outside the box. We tossed around the idea of feather bowling & then there is always plying pool, I just feel like it's not very creative!!!

PP suggestion of Whirleyball is awesome! How about a Tiger's game? CJ Barrymore's or Dave and Buster's would be fun too. Or you could rent some bowling lanes at a bowling alley or at Lucky Strike.

For H's Bday I am taking him and family members to the Tiger's Game..there will prolly be about 15 of us, just family and 2 close friends. I promised him no surprise party or anything he didn't know about- I threw him a surprise grad party last year so I am keeping it low key!
