Good Morning
We had a wicked thunderstorm come through this morning. Poor Chloe had to leave her window post because she was getting a bit wet.
Erin (the housemate) and Cole (Derek's little brother) had quite the fight last night. Cole was here on the weekend and left a bunch of windows open on Erin's computer. Apparently he's got (and has had for a while) a "secret" Facebook account and has been talking (and giving he cell number to) an ex. Not cool. Erin was (rightfull so) pissed, and so was Derek. He called to have some stern words with Cole, and then he and Erin played Call of Duty all night. Poor girl just needed to shoot some stuff. She and Cole were talking when we went to bed, so I have no idea where things are now. Apparently this isn't the first time Cole's done something like this and one of the previous times it led to a "break" and Cole getting together with one of the girls he was talking with. We'll see where this goes. Erin is mature for her age and Cole is immature for his (he's a year older than she is) and that's usually not a good combo.
Wow, that got long! How is everyone today?

Today I have Zumba then a business meeting and that's it. It's going to be HOT here today like 100 degrees hot and Sean has training outside all day today. The dogs are already lazying around.
I have some shows to catch up on and that's about it. Also we're looking into more adoption agencies today. We know the average wait is a year. So better get started now.
Hello ladies. My morning definitely could have gone better. I'm embarassed to admit it, but I failed my driving exam this morning
. Even worse is the reason I failed since it was just because of one stupid (but major) mistake. And one I haven't made since my first time driving here. Argh. I'm undecided if I'll retake it, since we don't really need me to have a license. Just so frustrating.
Anyways, I'm back at work this afternoon and just hoping the rest of the day goes fast so I can go home and pout.

Good morning. Maybe I should just say "morning".
So, someone else has applied for the position at my school, meaning I actually will have to compete for it. I've been pretty confident this whole time, but today I'm actually feeling pretty nervous. Apparently my principal needs to get permission from the staffing committee to choose me, so if the other person is grossly more qualified, then I'm going to be in trouble.
It all comes down to how much my principal is willing to fight for me, and it's unnerving to be in that position. So, I'm going to be a stress ball until I find out one way or the other. My interview is going to be tomorrow at lunch and hopefully the other person will have theirs tomorrow too so I'll know sooner rather than later as to what's going on.
I could definitely use any spare vibes.

My morning has been less than stellar. Kyle hasn't been feeling well since last night. I know that he has a sore throat, but I'm not sure what else is bothering him. (He hasn't heard about the job that he interviewed for yet either, so I'm sure that's not helping things.) Then I woke up today to two sick furbabies. So I got to spend my morning cleaning up poop and vomit. Fun! The good news is that both of my bosses are going to a meeting out of town later this morning and they won't return for the rest of the day, so at least it should be a quiet day at work for me.
I thankfully went home to a clean house last night. I was so proud of my fur baby. She did, however, run outside to pee what appeared to be a small lake and then drank a huge bowl of water. I'm hoping the temp doesn't get up too high today, because we don't have our AC running in the main part of the house yet. She did awesome last night with letting us sleep, too, so that was good.
Tonight should be some lounging, and we actually have a plan for dinner, which never happens. I'm also excited we got the all clear from the vet to let the pooch play with all the other dogs, so I'll be outside reading while they lounge in the baby pool for a while. Maybe a sun nap while I'm at it.

Sushi, don't feel bad. I failed my first driving test too. Actually, I failed it before I ever even got out of the parking lot! I hadn't yet learned how to back into a parking space and I lost all of my points attempting to do that, haha.
Last night my friend and I had plans to go to Bikram (which I actually hate, although I love regular vinyasa yoga. I go to Bikram once a week with my friend though, b/c she likes it and I like her.) The studio is really close to my office, but my friend had to take the train in and someone jumped in front of the train before hers and was killed
Obviously she did not make it to class on time and we had to go to a much later class instead. I didn't get home until after 10 o'clock and then pretty much got in bed right after showering, and without even eating dinner or doing a bunch of stuff I needed to do at home. So I feel like my weekday routine is a bit interrupted still, but I'm trying to get back on track today. Tonight is Total Body Conditioning and hopefully catching up on paying bills, etc. when I get home from the gym.

Today is already off on the wrong foot. The Metro was all kinds of backed up this morning, so I got in even later than I normally do. I don't really have much going on today, just regular work stuff. I am about to get a big project dumped on me for this fall, which I would be excited about, except that I know my boss is going to micro-manage the crap out of it instead of just letting me do it. That, the fact that he's going to give me no budget and that I am constantly distracted by the stupid IF is curbing my enthusiasm.

Morning, all. I'm at home, taking a sick day. I've yet to hear from new job with an offer letter and current job just keeps on going on and on about our outreach trip, so I needed to get away for a day before I let something slip. I don't think I'll hear today because I'm a pessimist like that when I've reached wit's end.
So today I'm just going to do some stuff around the house, try to hit the gym early, work on the review I'm doing for a D.C. book review website, read outside, and just try not to stay by the phone. I'm tired of waiting, so I'm treating today like a weekend day, when I know nothing is going to happen.

Last night, I got some horrible news. The principal at the school where my mom teaches, a very wonderful woman, had a brain aneurism. It happened in the middle of a teacher appreciation lunch. Apparently, one minute she was talking, and the next she was on the floor. The doctors say it's not looking good.
On happier news, B made the most amazing blue cheese mashed potatos and morrel mushroom sauce for chicken. So yummy.
Today should be a fairly normal day of work, and just waiting to hear from my mom about her principal. Hope everyone has a good day.

Last night was interesting. Our power went out for about 45 minutes. When I stepped outside to see if it was just us, I saw my next door neighbour and her three boys so I asked if they were out of power. She didn't realize it because they had been out playing but it turns out they were... and she was locked out (she had been planning to go back in the house through the garage).
So she borrowed my phone to call her husband and left him a message to come home with the keys. While she was on the phone, three fire trucks happened to come by. Plus her two younger boys decided to try scaling the fence so she had to yell at them to stop. So her poor husband called me back a few minutes later and after hearing the sirens and panic in her voice from the message, the first thing he said was, "Are they OK??" Poor guy! I explained the whole situation to him. He got home and they were all fine.

Last night, I made dinner and then we went for a nice long walk. SIL got some not so good news about her health (heart disease issues) and so we are helping her get healthy again. DH is on a similar diet (no carbs, red meat, sugar, etc) and we exercise with her daily. That is one of the nice things about her living so close.
Today, just working away and then DH has softball tonight.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. It's rainy and gloomy here, I'm not complaining though. There are still wildfires burning like mad in Ft. Mac (where the oilsands are) so hopefully the weather can help the firefighters put some of the big fires out.
I would like to see if someone will watch Izaac for an hour or so today so I can get a tattoo. I'm really excited that I finally know what I want.

I was so tired lastnight, that I just ended up bringing Zach into my bed at 10 lastnight, and I fell asleep. Well guess who finally slept through the night? Uggh if he would just do that in his own crib I would be golden.
Today is crazy busy at work, even though I don't feel like I have accomplished anything. The one great thing. I finally have made a hair appointment to get my hair chopped. It's been almost a year, and I need it bad.
