First off , thank you all sooo soo soo much for your prayers.
I took my lab work results that indicated skull bone abnormalities that indicate different problems such as a neurological condition that would cause death within 2 years of birth to the Level 2 specialist.
At this time Siavash, left work at joined me as well and doctor did another ultrasound and kept taking different measurements of the baby's head and body. His diagnosis was it's too soon for this kind of ultrasound ( it needs to be done at 18 weeks and 15 weeks is early) but at this time he believes the baby is ok and the ER radiologist may have made a mistake. However, we have to go back in 3 weeks when we are at 18 weeks and do this test and other more extensive tests at that time to completely rule out any of these bad conditions. He also did bloodwork which will be back in 1 week to also rule out one of these conditions that the ER radiologist thought he saw.
So, we don't have final answers and I still don't know what happened to me yesterday that caused me so much pain and distress but so far , we got promising news about the baby and hopefully in 3 weeks, we will get more comprehensive results indicating things will be ok.
At the end, the specialist asked us if anyone has talked to us about the sex of the baby, and we said no but we wanted to know. He said 99% ,it's a girl. ![]()
I am still in some pain and my doctor said to take the rest of the week and I hope the pain goes away completely soon.
I will keep you all posted on what happens in the follow up tests in 3 weeks, and if you could keep us in your thoughts , we would really appreciate it.
Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.
Re: Update to Prayers Please
Kathy,
I'll still be praying for you guys. Congratulations, your orange is a girl!!!!
So glad to hear that the initial results look good - I'll continue to pray for more good reports, and also for strength for all of you while you wait for the confirmation. I've been thinking about you all day, and will continue!
Side note: our husbands may think it's a little weird that we all visit here so much, but I think it's pretty amazing that we have this kind of community where we can all come together for each other when needed. It makes me smile inside
So glad to hear both that everything is looking okay and that the orange is a little girl. Team pink!
I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. I know it's a little weird but I think about you all the time when I see baby stuff, even though we have never met - you guys will be in my thoughts!
I'm sure it's awful not knowing for sure if she's okay or not. But, I bet you're over the moon to find out you're having a girl! How exciting!
Keep us posted!
Please keep us posted on everything! We're here if you need anything!

I will keep T&P for you guys, I know it must be a rough time.
Kathy,
I'm so glad to hear the first look is positive. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers the next few weeks. I hope everything goes well in 3 weeks. You seem to be so strong in handling all this, and I hope that your pregnancy is smooth from here on out.
And... YAY, you are having a little girl!
