My brother and his friend are finishing up taking down a huge ugly pine tree from our backyard so I am excited to have it gone.
And the heat index is going to reach 100 here today and guess who's A/C is not fixed yet. This girl. Ugh. I would be ok if it was just Jon and myself, but the poor dog can't be in the house like this, so we have every fan possible right on her crate at night and blowing in the living room where she usually hangs out. It's fine for now, but I am not living like this all damn summer, so the guy better come back out today and fix it again.
I'm at work far earlier than I need to be anticipating a court call that is sure to be nothing less than a b!tch today. Right now I'm just trying to get keep myself occupied to make it through this week. We've got the wake/memorial service tomorrow night, which is going to be terrible. Plus, on top of that, my FIL has been in the hospital since Sunday when he went in for what we thought was dehydration with possible heat stroke that has turned into a diagnosis of an actual minor stroke, brain seizures and spots on his brain. He had an MRI yesterday that we're supposed to get the results of this morning and he has to do a 3-5 hour stress test this morning...and I have to pretend to concentrate on work.
Sorry I'm a debbie downer this morning. Positives: my cousin had her baby yesterday morning, a happy healthy boy named Colin Joshua, and I get to go with bff on Thursday to her doctor's appointment to hear my little nephew's heartbeat!

'Morning !
I just spent the last 1.5 hours organizing my desk and credenza here in my office. I keep getting random bouts of "nesting." I know I still have several months left but I don't want this place to look like a disaster when I'm out on maternity leave and someone else is using it to do my job.

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Not a lot. My boss is back in the office which is a bummer. But overall, I'm personally doing pretty well aside from a killer sunburn on my shoulders. Everyone around me is having sh!tty weeks though.
Jon doesn't think he's going to get that job that he interviewed for on Friday. He said he got a weird vibe and he doubts it's going to pan out. That bummed me out. I was hoping that this would be it for him.
One of my best friends moved to Atlanta to be with her boyfriend 3 years ago and they just broke up. She's trying to find a job up here (real estate paralegal/commercial real estate title insurance) and move back and she's pretty devastated. I feel awful for her. It was such a process to move down there in the first place and now she has to turn around and come back.
My sister and her boyfriend just broke up too. Boo
(
Tough week for relationships I guess.
Good luck!!!

Thanks! I'll probably need it. The Web Coding book looks like a beast.
Ugh, I didn't get enough sleep last night and am very tired. My legs are sore from running yesterday too. But, I got to try my banana bread that I made last night, it was a yummy breakfast.
I have lots and lots of work to do today and no motivation.
T&P's for your FIL, V!
Leslie, I feel your pain on the a/c. Ours was out from Wed-Fri last week and it was awful! AND it was like $400 to fix. Ouch.
Not much going on here. I'm just hanging out, not really feeling like working. The soda machine was out of water so I had to get a diet dr. pepper. Darn.
So tired today! Didn't get home til almost 8 pm yesterday and then didn't get much sleep (although the kid slept 7.5 hours!!).
Have a lot more work to do today and am actually happy about that!
I'm here-ish. Trying to get a bunch of work done, getting some SP work done in my down time (might as well put it to good use!)
I have no real motivation to get my work done, so if I have SP work to get done, actually motivates me to get done with my real work. Sad but true.
Not too much here, either. Just another boring Tuesday. I had a doctor's appointment today; kidney stone follow up. So, I'm one of the lucky ones that makes a stone and passes it instead of the people who hoard them, so that's good news. I'm stone free right now.
Now, it's storming and I feel the intense need to take a nap. The weather is just pulling me toward my bed even though I need to clean up the house and finish laundry.
Hopefully, we'll get a patio put in by the end of the month. Danny and his buddy spent yesterday and Sunday moving our shed. I'd like a patio before the 4th of July. I want to cook out SOOOO bad.
And, V, I'm sending some T&P for your FIL. Hope it all turns out okay.
Michelle--GOOD LUCK!!!
