Hi there! I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on how I'm doing. On March 15th, we found out my heart function was up to 53% from the 20% when I came home from the hospital on December 6. I go back to my cardiologist on June 23rd to have a MUGA scan done, where they will inject dye and then measure more accurately my heart function. I am hoping for more improvement but will take whatever as long as it's not slipping backwards. I will go back on July 1 to get the results.
I am back to working full time (since April 18th) and it's been difficult leaving Ethan, but I'm enjoying some normalcy back in my life. I've also recently became a Pampered Chef consultant to gain some extra income to pay towards our medical bills now and other debts (if you're interested in ordering or a party, let me know at PamperedChefShawna at gmail). ![]()
Both my husband and myself are still dealing with the emotions that my birth experience in November has brought - it is a roller coaster. I would have really imagined that every day would be so precious and sweet that nothing would interfere with that, but as we've learned, there is also a lot of anger, resentment, bitterness that comes along with dealing with a traumatic event as well as me mourning the loss of the memories of Ethan's labor or birth, since I still can't remember anything. We're taking everything slowly and trying to support one another as opposed to taking our feelings about that situation out on eachother, but it's difficult sometimes.
I do lurk on here a lot but with work and everything, I don't post much!
Re: Keeping you ladies in the loop!

I'm so glad to hear you're doing better. I hope you get some good news from your doctor.
*HUGS* I cannot imagine what you two must have to deal with each day - I hope that no matter what your love for each other and Ethan trumps everything else you're feeling. We're always here if you need to vent or talk.
Please update us on your results when you get them back - I'll keep my fingers crossed that the % is moving forward and not backward. Sending lots of T&P!
