S/O allergies - any zyrtec users in here?
I have been an allegra and then a claritin user for years (like 10 I think). But now I'm starting to think that claritin just isn't cutting it for me. So I'm going to try zyrtec and see if that makes me feel better. I was at the pharmacy and I bought like 5 tablets, but I noticed that there is also a zyrtec D that you buy from behind the counter. What's the difference? Should I have gotten the D kind, or is the regular over the counter kind just fine?

when i was in high school i started on the quest for the perfect allergy meds. i tried allegra and claritin and it did diddly poo. i also tried flonase and other nasal meds. zyrtec worked the best and i've been on it ever since.
i buy the generic zyrtec to save money wherever i go to buy it, there's no difference in the active ingredient between name brand and store brand. i have never tried the zyrtec D, but it has pseudophedrine in it as a decongestant. If your nose is always stuffy, maybe you need it. If not, you can probably get by with the regular.
Ditto here.
Works the best for me.

zyrtec d has an anihistamine plus pseudophedrine .. pseudophedrine is why you have to buy it behind the counter because people like to make meth out of it.
i take zyrtec d .. and i have horrible allergies
This is good to know. I was just at the store hemming and hawing over whether to get the regular tablets or the liquid gels. I ended up going with the regular tabs just in case, but for next time I will definitely get the liquid gels. They make them in generic form too!
