Parents are almost here! Need suggestion for tomorrow
We had planned to go to the zoo but with the heat warning in effect until midnight wednesday, we're skipping that.
What's a good thing to do that would be indoors with air conditioning?

Somerset collection is a pretty nice shopping mall up in Troy, about an hour from you.
The DIA is very nice and I believe air conditioned. If you're taking the kids, the science museum would be fun! These are both in Detroit.

I second the Science Museum. Hands on and lots of fun!
Thanks ladies! We're planning to go to the Ford Museum Saturday when Dh is back in town. I'll have to check out the Science Museum... it's been up on my computer for a few days now
Will I be banned from the board if I say I have no interest in eating a coney dog- hypothetically of course. It's just a chili dog right? Please don't hate me!
haha

It's a chili dog with onions and you eat it with mustard. I think. I'm not a local, but this is my impression. They are OK, a good yearly treat at most.

Don't listen to Mrs. Soda.
(it is pop)
I'm going to guess Mere is a pop person as well.

Actually, I'm a soda person- one of the few from my WNY area. Dh hates that I call it that!

IMO, coneys are another method of a colon cleanse. I've never had one, but that's what I hear.
I'm a 'local' and it's soda.
