Re: ok tell me what you think...
here's more:
Poppy Cake inspiration (actualy cake being made by Amanda!): http://thecakegal.blogspot.com/2010/04/sugar-poppy.htmlI'll have small bails of hay (scarecrow), oil cans (cute ones...tin man), no clue about the lion yet or toto. Liza will have a Dorothy inspired outfit.
My aunt is making me a blue gingham and white triangle bunting to hang around.
Favors" Will be either yellow brick road cookies or yellow brick road rice crispy treats.
I'll have Melted Witch Punch and normal cookout food.
Oh and I'm making this: http://costumepop.com/how-to-make-costumes/hot-air-balloon-costume/
I think it is such an adorable theme!! Other ideas....hmmmm....maybe make a yellow brick road leading to your house or backyard, or wherever the party is taking place.
Hanging green streamers from the tent (if you are having one) and calling it emerald city.
You could make medals for courage for the lion.
Stuff red and white socks with black shoes and stick them hanging next to your house (maybe too morbid??)
I think it is going to be such a great theme!!
I love it all! I cant wait to see everything all put together!
OMG, how cute! I am so jealous of what everyone is doing for DC's parties. I wish I had the motivation to do this stuff. I love to do crafty things, but just have not been in the mood. I can't even get my scrapbooking done, nevermind party things. I love evrything you have chosen to do, all just amazing. I have to show my friend who palyed Dorothy is highschool. She would love this for her DDs parties. :-)
