apparently i can eat ice cream?
as most of you know i'm lactose intolerant. Ice cream is one of the biggest things that sets my tummy in a tumble.
I was at the store and really wanted some grapenut icecream. I bought it and have eaten almost a half of pint- no reaction. I had soft serve today and wallah- nothing.
Apparently being PG has some perks.

Re: apparently i can eat ice cream?
I'm not lactose intolerant but have trouble with any dairy that has more than a few grams of fat in it.... I've had a few cheesey dishes and have been pretty fine so far too! Ice cream/ fro yo was my dinner for about 2 weeks a few months ago.
ENJOY!!!
Grapenut ice cream? Never heard of it, but it sounds yummy!
Congrats on being able to eat ice cream again!
that is a great pregnancy perk!
I thought my mother and I were the only people in the world that liked Grapenuts...though I've never had Grapenut ice cream...mmm...
Oh man, Grapenut ice cream is like crack to me- sooo good! I'm having dinner w/ a friend in Bristol tonight and there's a little shack there that serves it, and I'm totally going to get some now, thanks for the inspiration!
How exciting that you can now eat it- I see an ice cream social in our future!

I was starting to notice that my body didn't like when I drank a big glass of milk just before I found out I was pg, so I cut way back on dairy. Soon after, the only thing I could keep down was vanilla ice cream in large amounts. A reward for not being able to eat anything else, maybe?
I'm still able to eat dairy without any adverse affects, and I'm taking full advantage. Pregnancy is weird sometimes.
woo hoo! i hope it stays that way!!
must be something about being pg -- i always wanted ice cream, too, and that's when i got addicted to mocha lattes...and i hate milk.
