Private Party Locations in DC Area
I am turning 30 this year and my husband wants to throw a party - but where is the next question. We want to provide food/drinks for at least part of the night to 30 or so of my friends and family. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Have you held or been to a private party in the area that you especially liked? Thanks!

My baby shower was at the Jaleo in Crystal City, and they have a nice private room that fits about the number you'll have. I had a great time, and I think they made things pretty easy for my MIL, who was working with them on planning from out of state. MIL also considered the Shirlington location of Capital City Brewing Company, and they also seemed easy to work with. She just likes to go to Jaleo when she's here anyway

A few years ago a friend rented a boat (The Nightengale, I think). It left out of Georgetown. We did an hour cruise. We had food catered from Lebenase Taverna (they met us at the dock) and we brought the booze. It was awesome.
After that, we went out in G'town.
