Portland YMCA or SoPo Park & Recs
Trying to figure out which place to go with for swimming lessons for DS. We used the Y in the past in our old town but someone local said the P. YMCA was nasty and that I shouldnt go there.
Re: Portland YMCA or SoPo Park & Recs
We go to the Y for swim lessons and have had a great experience. The instructor is nice. The family locker room is very accommodating for Moms and Dads. I work out in the gym and while it's not the nicest facility I've been in, it's not nasty. I grew up in South Portland and the pool has been redone since I've been in there. It's always a nice place to go. If you get a family membership at the Y - $75, swim lessons are free.
Did you find a place in SP?
Yes, we moved a few weeks ago! So far we love living here.
