We are taking a family trip to Galveston this weekend, and are going fishing. Probably just a bay trip. There is a 8-12 trip and 130-530, MIL suggested the 130-530, wouldn't the morning be better? Not as hot? Any one gone before? We were thinking of using
Galveston Party Boats.
Re: Galveston
We just got back from Galveston a couple weeks ago and the morning was cooler. Definitely not mid-day, it's so blasted hot and humid. Also, earlier you go the less traffic.
I hope you have fun! We did!
Definitely go in the morning!
ETA: And whatever you do, don't expect a pretty beach and ocean. Galveston=
looking.
I know y'all probably are already set on Galveston but if you aren't look into going to Port Aransas. The beaches are better, the town looks better(Galveston hasn't fully recovered from the hurricane) and the fishing is great. We took a charter out for the morning and between the 10 of us(4 adults and 6 kids) we got well over 100 fish. They have a lot of those you catch 'em we'll cook 'em type places along the docks that are really fun too.
If you do go to Galveston I would say the morning trip for sure! The fish move farther down when it gets hot so you won't catch as many!
100% recommend the morning. I'm down there now and it is way too hot and humid by noon. We have also been hitting record highs lately and I don't know long that trend is going to continue.
