Sara, I was curious since you have been using the Clarisonic longer than me, how long did it take you to start seeing dramatic results?
I started using it about early-mid April and I saw results right away in the feel and look of my skin, but I just now am starting to notice my face really clearing up on a long term basis. (Well, hopefully long term.)
I always break out right before I start my period, and I didn't at all this month!! I couldn't believe it! I kept waiting, and waiting, and nothing! And normally in the summer it's worse anyway due to all the sweat and such. I still have some redness, and I'm hoping with time that will be reduced as well?
I hope it's because of the Clarisonic. I haven't changed anything else. So I was just curious how long it took for you to start noticing results, more than just how your skin feels. I know you seem to have had a great experience with it so I wanted to ask. ![]()
Re: **Sara**
Summer-
I started using my Clarisonic on April 3rd. Like you, I get the occasional break-out, but really chose the Clarisonic to give my skin some life; it was so dull. Within two weeks, I really saw a difference with my skin appearance. It was clearer, smoother and required less make-up.
My major blemish complaint is what I like to call "undergrounders." I would get a very hard, red mound under my skin that despite all the tricks would never come to the surface. Eventually I would break down and just squeeze. This left me the look of a "sore" on my face, terrible redness and a bruise type scar.
The Clarisonic has totally eliminated these types of zits. Even though I still break out, they are small, no redness and easy to get rid of.
The dark sun spot that I struggled with on my cheek is basically no longer noticeable. It blends with my skin and I don't have to use any extra make-up to cover it up, like I once did.
At the end of April, I quit taking birth control, which has been a small curveball to my skin. I think the Clarisonic has been the major factor is keeping the effects minimal.
For me, the only skin regimen/product change I have made is the Clarisonic and so far I have seen positive results in the redness, the appearance of my skin and my two biggest skin challenges ("undergrounders" and sun spots).
I am hoping when my body evens out from the birth control cut-off I will really see a change in my breakout frequency, too.
Sorry for the novel. I hope I answered all/most of your questions.
I'm glad you've had a reduction in redness, that makes me feel like it may help me in that area too!
I have the same results with zits. It seems like when I can feel one coming on, it almost starts, but then goes away before it fully forms which is so nice. Of course I have the occasional one here and there, but not nearly like I used to.
I too am afraid of what my skin might do when I stop taking my BCP. I hope the Clarisonic can buffer some of those effects.
It's really because of you that I started using it, so I really appreciate you coming on here and talking about it! If it weren't for you, my Clarisonic would probably still be sitting in a box under my cabinet not being used!
LOL! I am glad that I inspired you! You are very lucky that your mom gave you such a great gift. I think you will see a change in the redness of your skin...it may just take longer.
Just a thought as well, my sister also uses Pro-Active (I think you are a Pro-Active user, too) and the Clarisonic. Her results with the Clarisonic has been a little slower than mine and she thinks it might be the different cleansers we use.
Trust me, I miss all the "pros" of birth control.
My sister doesn't use the Pro-Active with the Clarisonic either. She uses the sample cleanser that came with our Clarisonic.
I am sure you will see the expected results really soon though!
