High : Low

Lets hear your high and low from yesterday!

High: I survived my first night of Dh back to work, luckily she was an angel and slept/ate the whole time. But we made it!

Low: I didn't get a chance to shower. Yuck.

My overly happy baby girl!

Re: High : Low

  • Funny you mention it, I was going to AW about my high but am slightly embarrassed.

Low: Nick had to go to some multi-level marketing pitch at his mom's house after work (gone from 7-9). Lamesauce.

High: It was the FIRST time I've given my 15 month old a bath and did the bedtime routine on my own and I did it! We've always done it together. I play with him while Nick cooks dinner, we eat, Nick plays with him while I clean up and feed the cat. We all read books then get him in the tub, we both lotion and pajama him and then I rock him to sleep and put him in bed. I did it all last night (minus Nick putting the pizza in the oven-then he left)! I'm so proud! I was scared b/c he can be wild and a grump at that time. He did say "da da da da?" while I was lotioning. :(

  • High: MIL kept Ryan overnight Sunday until dinnertime yesterday so I could study for the test I had today. I was so weird to have nobody need anything from me! I layed in bed until 8am, drank a pitcher of iced tea, read a book and then I studied :)

Low: I didn't have a low yesterday. We spent the evening with the ILs because it was MIL's birthday and it was just an all around great day.

That's great Summer!! I left Felicity in her pj's all day, and she didn't get her bath last night (doubt she'll get one tonight too..) so it was a few less things I had to do on my own. That's so preciously sad that C was asking for his dad while being lotioned up - maybe he likes how daddy lotions him better? Wink

  • summer,

i've never given zoey a bath. ever. lol

that's her and james' time. if she needs one and he's not around, my mom gives her one.

i'm not opposed to giving her one, it just sort of happened this way.

he can't always feed her so i wanted to give them something that's 'theirs' :)

Lol. I left Campbell in his PJs the whole 3 months I was off, unless we were going out. He got new PJs every night though :).

Ha! He probably does like it better - daddy plays and makes faces and noises while he does it and I was like hurrying before he tried to flip over and squirm away.

I only change diapers if D isn't home. Does that make diaper changes their special time? Cause that'd be awesome... lol

You have no idea how much better that makes me feel. I thought for sure I was a lame-o mother. I'm always in the bathroom while Nick does it, washing my face and then I sit on the (closed!) toilet and watch and then wrap him in the towel. Nick had to give me a little lesson on Sunday night. lol.

I've only given Ryan a bath by myself a handful of times. DH does it here, but Ryan spends the night at my MIL's once a week and my mom and dad's once a week and they all love to do bathtime!

  • High: Rocked my yoga class last night

Low: DH appears to be having month long PMS and was bitching about our upcoming vacation with my parents.

  • Yes it is mar! :) it was awhile before I changed her diaper as well! Since I had a c-section and wasn't really mobile right away, James did them all :)
Summer, that's exactly what I do! I clean up her dinner, put laundry away, etc... But then I sit in there and wait with the towel and grab her from him when she's done!

  • High:  Got all my work done at work and got to relax last night knowing I had today off.

Low:  Having to listen to annoying cubemates *** about every little fvcking thing all day long.

  • Summer and Jess- I have only given Xander a bath a few times on my own. Andrew normally gives them to him while I do dishes, fold laundry and clean up. Andrew has more patience for bath time. I come in at the end and put him in his towel and dry him off.

  • High: Finally getting home from Nashville! We were supposed to fly out Sunday night and it didn't happen due to storms in NC. Riley stared at me like she didn't believe I was really there and then all night would grab my face and turn it to look at her and laugh.

Low: Being up almost 24 hours straight because R was extremely anxious about being away from me and didn't go down for good until 1 AM! We took a looooong nap today.

  • I'm late so this is from yesterday.

High was childbirth and parenting class (I feel like it is forcing dh to take in what he hasn't been reading about the pregnancy, birth, and first few weeks)

Low thinking for almost an hour that we were in the wrong class.

    Ditto.

HIGH: I had mexican and frozen yogurt for dinner.

LOW: I had a breakdown about my sister's wedding.  I am 2343289748392 more times stressed for hers than I was for mine.

  • High: getting to spend extra time with DH since I got home from tutoring so early. Low: one of the students I tutor called school to complain about me saying I make her nervous and that I don't let her bring work home. However, when I do send work home she either loses it or doesn't do it. Today we have a meeting with her counselor.
