Secretkeeper, can we see a pic of your new home?
Zoemay, you too (though should we wait til you close, just in case?)
Andrea, how about an "after" pic of the cabinets?
Stef, any baby shower pics?
Lots of good stuff going on!
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

LOL, oh ok! I'm still worried that something could fall through, but what's the harm in posting a pic or three? Here's one of the front of the house:

Backyard:
Looking forward to seeing everyone else's PsIP!

Thanks Hannah! I'm excited for you guys too with your new adventure. Are you posting from LA?
Cabinets should be finished tonight...hallelulah! I'll post pics when I get home.
Zoe, the house is gorgeous. I love the kitchen!
All of this. They're both such big spaces!
Zoe the house is beautiful!
I will post pics of our new house soon. I still can't find my camera cord or battery charger since the move so once E and I go get a new one pics will be posted!
Beautiful home, Zoe!! Lots of luck!!
I don't have any shower pics downloaded yet, but it was absolutely beautiful. The decorations were gorgeous, the food was delicious...it was so awesome. Thanks for asking
Love the house. And I spy a lemon tree! Any orange trees?

Absolutely gorgeous! And practically the same color we used in our MB.
Ooh, Zoey I love your house! Tonic's bedroom makeover looks really great too!
More pictures!!!!
Thanks everyone! We can't wait to move in and make it our own. Conditions have all been cleared, contingencies are being removed tomorrow, and we may close as early as next week.
Yep! There are 2 huge lemon trees, an orange and a very prolific loquat. After living with a gigantic lemon tree at our last place, it feels like an injustice every time I have to buy them in the store now! We just wish we had an avocado tree at the new place
This one is a possibility:
It's between Van Nuys and Burbank. ETA There's another one we're considering, too. I put pics of both and a write up of our experience looking in Our Blog.

OK, here are our before and after kitchen pictures. It's been a year in the making and all we have left to do is tile the floor and get some things on the walls. They're a little bare for my taste.
Tonic, look at those gorgeous smooth walls. Just luscious! I can appreciate that after our project. I'm starting to get little tiny bumps here and there where I removed the wallpaper. I think it's leftover residue, so I'll sand again before I paint over the purple.
Andrea, it's night and day! Wow. Love your pass through (or whatever those things are called).
I painted behind the stove and am happy with it:
And remember way back when I asked for Spanish grammar help? This sign on our patio is the result:
I love the blue! Beautiful and cheerful.

Thanks! Wall paper removal sucks huh?
I LOVE that you painted the spot blue above your stove.. I think it looks really great! I used to have red in my kitchen in my old house but I don't have anything fun now since my countertops are blue (it will be changed in a couple years but fully functional so no reason to spend the money).
