Let's talk about True Blood.
Who watches it? I borrowed Season 1 from a friend and I'm almost finished with it - I seriously don't want to have to wait for the individual discs to come in the mail for the other seasons, but I'm hooked now. I was hoping I wouldn't love it, because there are way too many shows I want to catch up on and we don't have HBO, but that ship has sailed.
And if you've also read the books - I'm surprised how different the series are, especially since people tell me that Season 1 is actually the most true to the book story lines.

I've read all the books and seen every episode.
I like both the books and the show, which is usually not the case.
I do not like Tara on the show, I think she is a useless idiot, and I'm not happy with how much she was featured since she's really not in the books.
I love the show. Been watching since they first came out. I was positive I was going to think it a lot of drivel, but it's soo entertaining.
I just I should read the books. I will if I get get a life back. I've been reduced to listening to audio books now. I listen to them in the car. It's the only free time I have these days.

I liked the books a lot! Like Steph, I hate Tara and was surprised at how huge a role she plays. I don't know how audiobooks would be...I think it would be too weird.
This is definitely a show I have to watch without Jeff.
Love True Blood. Seen all the shows and read all but the newest book. I agree that Tara is pretty useless, she's always whining or crying about something. And I HATE MaryAnn from season 2. She was only in a few pages of the book and they stretched her out for all of season 2 and it was redundant and stupid. I was really disappointed.
OP, Try checking half.com or ebay for the seasons to buy them. You can get them for a decent price online sometimes.
