Best Patio Restaurants in DSM

The hubs and I are thinking of a place to go out to eat for our anniversary. We want somewhere with a nice outdoor dining area. What are your faves?

  • I always love Centro!
  • Wellmans? Dos Rios? Sometimes we like to eat outside at any of those Jordan Creek restaurants.

Happy Anniversary! I hope it wasn't this hot on your wedding day!

Thanks! Our anniversary is actually on the 14th. And, it wasn't quite this hot, but close. It was also in the middle of the flooding, so that was fun. :-)

Dos Rios sounds really good! I love their jalapeno margaritas!

  • We love Nick's and  Urban Grill for date night.. both have decent patios and are mostly adults so its a little bit nicer, more expensive food ($15-20 each).. Nick's is across from Valley West Mall on the corner of 35th and Univ and Urban Grill is on 86th St just south of Douglas..

  • I second the Centro option!
  • I went to El Patio (off Ingersoll) for the first time last night - besides the food/drinks being good....the patio was beautiful.  You're surrounded by potted, hanging flowers....it was neat.  Not hugely up-scale, definitely low-key and very good.
